And we are back again. :scarf:

Hope they all do really well, opening day and all that. Can see Ross County giving us problems, especially given their performances against us last season, but would hope this would be a good place for the likes of Boerrigter and Balde to hit the ground running. :thumb up:

:relieved:

Got there in the end. :yay:

Thought we played really well, great movement, created plenty of chances and should have scored at least 5 with the chances that we created. Moment of madness with the goal, I have no idea what Forster was doing, good shot, but he should have dealt with it. After the first few minutes, Ambrose and Mulgrew dealt with everything competently, though Ambrose always gives you a bit of a worry at times.

Fullbacks were excellent on both sides, Forrest very good, Ledley grew into his game, Brown (bizarrely named man of the match by the stadium announcer) was decent without being anything special, and Commons and Stokes both did their bit.

Boerrigter looks a player based on his 30 odd minutes of football today, when he gets the pace of the game, and the way the team plays, I think he is going to be an inspired signing (providing he can handle the winter and stay fit).

The big problem, the massive problem... centre forward. As well as Stokes played, he does his best work outside of the box and with the quality of chances being created, I was screaming out for Lennon to put on an out and out striker. Thankfully Stokes came up with the goods but there has to be something in the locker for this type of situation. Balde, I would hope. Surprised he wasn't brought on, but the manager seems to know what he is doing, and has a result today thanks to that knowledge.

On to Wednesday, well played Celtic. :thumb up:

Was working got home to see the last half hour

Hoping Boerrigters injury is just a sprain .... Wilson not playing :hmmm: .... he off to Forrest ?

I agree about Stokes doing a lot of his most productive work outside the box as does Samaras , Watt , Commons , Forrest .... so whose gonna be the beneficiary of all this good work ? Balde surely

All the first players mentioned will score goals but imo its not their primary quality so we do need a penalty box poacher we have enough players who can link up with our full backs or midfield

Good victory against a team that came for a point but surprised themselves by scoring early then parked the tractor
