So, league season done by a comfortable winning margin despite many "foot off" moments throughout the season. In the first half of the season we seemed to struggle to win at home and this trend was reversed after the new year.

Yesterday, Celtic looked terrific again, vibrant, full of movement and ideas, epitomised by the drive and performance of the captain, who, I thought, was excellent and is approaching the level of performance that will see him meet and exceed his reputation when he joined from Hibs.

All that said, Dundee Utd were a shadow of the side that ran us so close at Hampden but the challenge is to beat what is in front of you and all credit to the players for doing just that.

Looking forward to the cup final, though being into my third decade of watching Celtic as an adult, I really should know better.

Let's hope Commons is fit and raring to go as if he is on form he likes to get his work done early and we might be able to have a comfortable day in the sun.
