i,ve no problem with Chris Hougton doing what any manager on a limited budget tries to do which is get himself a proven goal scorer for a bargain we do it

He would,ve expected a kb from us with his first offer lets see what his second is ? ........ then nearer the end of the month lets see what his best offer is

They are currently mid table but they have 2 tough league matches this month away to Liverpool & at home to Spurs be doing well to get 2 points imo so it only takes the teams under them to get 4/6 points from their next 2 league matches & Norwich could get dragged down to the bottom 5

They,ve also got a potentiel humiliation in the FA cup next week at home to Luton

So lets see if Chris Houghton is a bit more generous nearer the end of the transfer window ....... plus it only takes another EPL club to drive up the asking price :fight:

if Norwich walk away let them see how much Brighton ask for Mickail-Smith or Leeds ask for Becchio there aint no bargains to be had in the lower leagues ( am assuming Chris Houghton sees the SPL as a bargain basement )

I dont believe Hooper would want to go to Norwich ..... he will leave but not to Norwich imo

Would appear Chris Houghton needs defenders  ...... think they slipped down 1 place in the Greatest League since football began :hmmm: .... which will add on another mill :P ... yes Chris we are exploiting your desperation to stay up

IF Hooper does go in January I hope we have a replacement in mind

Think Hooper will be gone by the end of January, hope we have a replacement lined up.

Also would like to see Johnny Russell signed to replace Bangura/Miku/Stokes.

I think Stokes has used up all his lifelines and will leave in the summer.

I,ve always liked Russell ..... scored the perfect hat-trick at the weekend - left foot , right foot & header  ..... how many times does he start of the move that he finnishes :thumb up: .... sure Utd can be persuaded with some dosh plus a fringe player ... will likely score the winner tomorrow night

He,s a young man with his best years ahead of him .... he,s quick , got great movement & control , can score , grafter & is gallus

Also sits in front of me during the Champions League games, Tic scarf on during the Barca game too :thumb up:

Cannae have enough Celtic men in the squad, think he would be a revelation playing for us.

So then it, Look's like were going to loose the Super Hooper. Norwich claiming they have an £8mill bid Accepted. Lenny saying Hooper has turned down our latest contract offer... :(

Other reports saying Hooper is at Norwich today having a medical..... :???:

On another note, Papers in the U.S.A. today saying we have struck a deal and are on the verge of signing Juan Agudelo........ ;)

So it's going to be an interesting few day's.

Also believe that the Spuds are sniffing after him ... and as a boyhood fan who was turned down by them ... better club for him to win Engerland caps anyhow .. at Narwich won´t have much luck ... ask yer man Holt ...
think if he goes before too long he will be doing this :wallbash: :wallbash: and wishing he had done this instead :scarf: :ynwa:

Silly move for Hooper IMO, but then it sort of shows his level of ambition (or lack thereof) as far as I am concerned.

I suppose it will be a good lesson for other players (as if another one was needed given the history of players who leave Celtic too early  ).

Good player, really good player, but Celtic will move on and on and hopefully Lennon will have something up his sleeve, that is if Hooper goes.

Celtic striker Mo Bangura has joined Swedish side Elfsborg in a year-long loan deal.
The Sierra Leone international came to Scotland in 2011 but a combination of injuries and poor form restricted his chances with Neil Lennon's side.
He was sent back to former club AIK on loan last year and scored several goals in the Allsvenskan.
Now, he will be turning out for one of AIK's competitors, with the 2013 Swedish season beginning in March.

Viktor Noring is in talks with Celtic over making a deadline day move.

STV understands the Swedish goalkeeper 6ft 41/2 inches tall, is in Glasgow with his agent holding contract talks, ahead of a move from third tier side Trellborgs.

Noring spent the earlier part of this week training with the SPL champions, who released third choice keeper Lubos Kamenar from his loan deal earlier in the window. Neil Lennon said he has trained and impressed the coaching staff all week. And joked he's a big lad you would not want to mess with.

;)

Lenny said he's hoping to secure a Left Back before the window shuts, So ya never no... :D

CELTIC will swoop for Wolves and Republic of Ireland hitman Kevin Doyle on loan tonight — but only if Norwich City bust the bank for Gary Hooper.

SkySports can reveal the 29-year-old is the man Neil Lennon has lined up as emergency cover if the price is right on Hooper or another striker leaves.
The champs have rejected a fourth bid from the Canaries, with Lennon stating it was still nowhere near acceptable.

But intriguingly, when asked if he felt a move could still happen he said: “Never say never.”

Really hope we can keep Hooper at Celtic, and I don't
think Kevin Doyle is nearly as good a player as Hooper.

Celtic have confirmed, That Norwich have just made a 5th offer of 9.2 mill for hooper. Though Lenny has come out and said we will not be selling Hooper tonight..... :nervous: :nervous:
