How important is this game?

Artur needs to be rock solid against this lot because they will be keen to lob high balls into Barr and co and them having lost v Aberdeen will make it a dangerous fixture.

In the SPL, we seemed to be firing on all cylinders and the team that destroyed Killie a few weeks ago looks a shadow of itself.

I`d drop Maloney for a start. Not because he`s pish, but because he needs rested.
I`d play Aiden through the middle, just behind Samaras and play Naka with hopefully Barry Robson back. We miss Robson`s fight.

The current set-up stinks and we have now collected one point out of six available and that is not good enough imo.
Wonder when we will see Caddis or O`Dea make a start or an appearance as a sub? :hmmm:

Boruc

Hinkel Caldwell Mick Wilson

Naka Brown Robson Naka

Aiden Samaras

subs McDonald, Crosas (When he fit by the way?) Maloney, Naylor, Caddis

Think we will make the usual hard fist of this, but I`d be happy knowing we go to Greyskull four or indeed seven clear of the piggery dwellers.

2-1 Celtic Aiden, Naka

I thought maloneys hammy had gone today?......was there any news there?

think it's time to shake up the strikeforce as it doesn't look like JvoH will be back anytime soon

mcdonald has contributed nowt for weeks (the amount of times he's caught offside are shocking!).....sammy's looking pish but maybe -hopefully  - needs one more game to reach his pre-injury form

hutchinson deserves at least a place on the bench

Better with Tommy Hutchison Jinty! :D Only joking, but if he was any good, surely to ghod he deserves a run? Maybe not good enough?

Let's hope as he has largely been shit since he came back.

Emby know how much longer JVoH is gonna be out for?

This will be another difficult game as Fakirk are no that bad. And we are, well crap.

And are Hutchinson/Mizuno/Caddis/O'Dea just pish, or is Strachan just a twat?

Discuss. :)

BTW Blair, IMO playing Aiden up front is not a good idea.

Maybe not mate, but somebody different ffs. That wee clown has us playing crap again after showing promise. Can only think Lennie was picking the team and that WGS had the flu when we were playing football. This is certainly not the Celtic Way.

What the feck has happened to Crosas and Jan?

Ch67 said today they don't expect JvoH back til mid January

Crosas was on the bench this afternoon - I was hoping he would get a run out some time in the 2nd half, but we got Naylor instead

Crosas must start playing IMO. Having him sharp and the in the side for Ipox will give us a very good chance of getting something there as TFOD have shown they always have trouble with a midfield that knows how to shift a ball quickly. Naka, Brown, McGeady and Crosas is the midfield that I think would cause any side in the SPL enough bother and sleepless nights to keep the pressure off our defence. Takes a bit in terms of guts to do, but I am sure the merits of this would make much of the current malaise (on the park and off) start to disappear.

The striker issue is a serious one. Both Samaras and McDonald have scored one goal in their last seven run outs (according to the commentator today) and that is just not good enough, simple as that. Surely cannot hurt to give Hutchinson a wee run out to try and alleviate the problem?

By the way blair, I like your idea of playing one Naka on each wing. :thumbs.up:

I was kind of hoping he had a clone Des. I`d have 11 of him in my team if possible. Maybe his faither could play? Still be better than Naylor ;)

Nice to see Mizuno there. Any sign of Hutchison on the bench Jinty? Or The Blanket Man ? :luck:

Problem I have with this team is that there are no battlers apart from Brown. Falkirk will kick feck out of us and we may need to be resiliant and keep eleven players on the park to win.
