You have a really really really good point there. In terms of entertainment, things are scary. I can count on one hand the games in any one season that have truly excited me since WGS has taken over. Comes back to the whole balancing act, do we want, entertainment, trophies or financial viability? The PLC wants the latter and recognises the need for the first two to maximise it, and we, the fans want the first two. Different priorities and sadly, only trophies (which we get) and the financial viability are tangible. Such is the world we live in, and this is why we are stuck with this. All about cash innit? Football clubs should never be businesses. It is a beautiful game, and it should be about entertainment, expression and camaraderie. All of these are intangible and therefore make not a jot of difference to the business of selling shirts and getting questionable organisations to give you money to whore their names about the place. |

Just watched the game there and ignoring how shite we were, how in the name of God did Kingston stay on the park???? He had four occasions at least where he could have been booked. Nielson wasn't much better. What a weak bastard Richmond is. And what a bunch of cheating, scummy, time-wasting, jambo, hunnish, orange, apron loving, goat fiddling bunch of filth there team and support are. Also bringing on Naylor when he did. Nice thinking ginger pubes. Thought Aiden played well and showed desire and effort unlike the majority of his team mates. And it's beginning to look increasingly obvious that McDonald had the season of his life last year. He is a fat useless waster. Artur Boruc has a better first touch than him. And as for Samaras?? Fuck me, he is baaaaaaaad.

For me, at least Samaras was winning something in the air. That said, it is all about goals, goals and goals. He starts scoring some, and regularly and no one will look too much at the rest of his "game", from his appaling touch to his bizarre use of the ball. Goals mask them all. Dead right about Kingston but despite that he still had a brilliant game against us, and does so on a regular basis. |
