Not for the first time, I find myself saying "what is this all about?" If we play like we did v Killie a few weeks ago, we will tow this team, but if we play like we have done against Hamilton and Aalborg, we will struggle again. Nothing less than three points is acceptable. I`m unsure who to pick, not because of the injury list, just that we were so rotten against Aalborg no-one is a definite starter imo. |

I`m not biased. I don`t care who beats Rangers It is up to us, to everyone at Celtic Park, to build up our own legends. We don’t want to live with history, to be compared with legends from the past. We must make new legends." Jock Stein | |

I know this will probably not resonate well with most people, but I don't think there was a bad performance on the park last night. I actually thought we dominated the game, dominated all the key areas and just didn't take our chances. That is the reason I am so disappointed to be honest, they were there for the taking and we spanked them but somehow still managed to lose the game. ![]() For this game though, I really do not want to see Caldwell in midfield. The ball needs to be shifted quickly and he just isn't capable of doing it. The worst distribution of any of the midfielders we currently have at our disposal, and that is saying something. The "Hollywood" pass isn't always the best one and is rarely attainable, not something that should be tried every two minutes, as it simply surrenders possession too easily. Pass selection is the most important thing and all good midfielders will choose the right one, even if it is 5 yards. Naka does it all the time, nothing wrong with it at all. Caldwell back in the heart of the defence with McManus and Maloney in for him to play wide with Naka, with Brown and Robson running the engine. Fullbacks unchanged and Samaras to continue his return to fitness (looked about 50% last night) along with the ever improving McDonald up front. I would have thought that would have been the starting set-up last night but WGS had his own ideas (and it is his opinion that matters). All about the league now, all I want us to do is win the league. Cups are a nice bonus but I will be seriously disappointed if we don't manage to win this league. Having seen the interviews post match and the disappointment/shock of what happened, this team needs a big boost and this game could be one of those massive ones in the outcome. Show some character and lets steamroll them. Europe is gone for this season, I hope they don't dwell on it. |

We have to stop giving foreign teams the edge over us before we go on the park. What I am saying is WGS has playedSheridan for most of the past few league games, (11 wins on the bounce) then drops him for a player who looked anything but fit on the night (Samaras). Why oh why couldn`t we let the big guy start and bring on Sammi if things needed? Anyway Boruc Hinkel Mick Caldwell Wilson Naka Brown Robson McGeadie Sheridan McDonald subs Sammi , Crosas , Maloney :snooze: , Loovens and M Brown :cover.eyes: 4-0 Celtic , McDonald 2 (doing fine imo) Naka, Sheridan |

the one positive thing about tuesday night is we can now concentrate on winning 4IAR.....maybe if we'd got further in europe we'd have been so stretched as a squad that the league would suffer...who knows? hope the bhoys can put tuesdays disappoinment behind them and come out fighting.....3 points please!! :luck: :celtic: |

BEN HUTCHINSON believes he is ready to make the step up to Celtic's first team and help the club bounce back from their midweek European nightmare. The man who turned 21 yesterday is hoping to get the chance to prove he has come of age in football terms after another scoring performance in the reserve team's 3-0 win over Motherwell on Wednesday, a match attended by boss Gordon Strachan. The striker who has been at the club since January, but who has been beset by hamstring injuries in that time, failed to grab his opportunity when pitched on for the final few minutes of the Champions League game against Manchester United at Parkhead earlier this month. Despite injuries to a host of strikers, Hutchinson has not figured since, and has had to watch Cillian Sheridan overtake him in the pecking order. But he remains convinced he can do a job if given the chance. The former Middlesbrough striker said: "I have been involved in a couple of massive games, against Manchester United and Rangers. "But what I'm really hoping for is a run in the team. "I have scored in the English Premier League, so I'm desperate to open my SPL account." Publication date 28/11/08 Evening Tims |

So putting aside stalker half hour for a wee minute, I think this will be a tough one too. Like Poca says, ICT aren't too bad away from home, but I think we will win this one convincingly. This game will tell us a lot about this team, seeing as though it is coming off the back of yet another humiliation in Europe. Personally, I think they will come through with flying colours. 4--1 for me. :luck: |

pretty scrappy so far, tbh not surprising after defeat on tuesday night, as there are oviously a few tired legs naka's been the stand out for me so far - hinkel also playing well :thumbs.up: samaras' first touch is still bad....a few more games under his belt and hopefully he'll regain the form he had before injury.......just in time to play the huns robson has been caught out of position a few times, but as we all know he's not a left back...brown looks tired I'd like to see caddis run at them in the 2nd |
