tbh i think any jail sentence is pretty harsh. couple of digs round the face, sure. but jail?

makes a bit more sense then. still think 4-6 months for a moment of madness is a tough oul' sentence though. (don't know what he done before though...)

What, he actually got a custodial sentence???? :yikes:

I was happy with just banning him from CP for eternity. Well, that and for somebody to give him a doing too.

From reading the judges comments he has a LOT of previous. Without knowing the datails of that I am not really sure any of us are in a position to comment about the appropriateness of the sentence. What I will say is that if I had been drinking as he allegedly was since 11 am, then I wouldn't have made the game so i have a wee bit of admiration of him in that regard!!!!

And what if the chap was simply pointing out to Naylor where Left-back was on the pitch? :hmmm:

Read that myself and the sentence suddenly seems a lot more understandable.

Either way he is a wee despicable ned that needs to stay away from Celtic games in the future.

IN fact, going by some of the descriptions of him on other MB's, he would be better heading down Govan way.

How can he have a lot of previous if he is 19?
He was admonished on the charge of being drunk in a sports venue.
He is simply being made an example of as the judge stated.
Absolutely ridiculous. The guy in the Milan game actually struck a player.
Wouldnt happen if he was rich and connected.

The guy in the Milan game actually struck a player.

No he didn't.

He was indeed made an example of and he deserved it. You don't run on the pitch and you don't get in trouble.

The guy is a wee fanny.

He did lay a hand on the head of the Milan keeper. Yes he is a fud but 6 months is ridiculous. And the connected part is true. Do you think any jolly rugger fan would get jailed for wandering on the field of play?
