Did I just read Henke classify Riordan as 'shitey' ? :D

I sometimes interchange the word shitey with Scottish. When one is discussing footballers both words are one and same.

I liked Riordan, but he isn't exactly a CL standard player.

CL standard, he ain't. Do you still think he'll score against us on Saturday? You just know he'll be busting a gut trying.

I fecking hope not, but in football, that kind of shit always happens.

I just hope that if he does score we still end up the winning side.

Something afoot I think. I can't think of any other reason this would be in the papers otherwise. No media speculation, this is coming from within.

Dermot vow on shares sell-out

Desmond no to quick sale

DERMOT DESMOND says he would only sell his controlling stake in Celtic to someone who could do "amazing things" for the Parkhead club.

The Irish millionaire would not completely rule out the possibility of a takeover - but insists he would set down strict conditions for anyone wishing to gain control.

Desmond said: "If somebody came along and said they were going to do something absolutely amazing, outstanding for Celtic and they wanted to buy my shareholding and I felt they could do a much better job than me or they would be a better shareholder than me, then I would certainly release my shares.

"But there would have to be evidence they were going to do that because my interest is in the greater good of Celtic.

"They would have to have the resources to do something absolutely amazing for Celtic. I would impose conditions.

"As far as I am concerned, talk is cheap and people would have to do something in a tangible way. If they were theoretically going to buy my shareholding they would be buying it on the basis they did bring major added value and they would have to commit to that.

"I think about my investment in Celtic as an emotional investment rather than a pure financial investment. I'm not looking to sell my shares."

Desmond has spent millions of his own money underwriting several share issues at Celtic and had this to say about any criticism he should spend more money: "I get that all right, about splashing the cash or putting my hand in my pocket or giving more money to the manager.

"For those people, I really have no respect or regard whatsoever. When people say you can just solve all problems by throwing cash at it, it's absolutely stupid. It's an insult to my intelligence."

I understand that the alternative might not be better, but the sooner that moustachioed bastard is out the club the better.

It is a risk worth taking.
