Tosh McKinlay has just said on Celtic TV "Lee Naylor looks like he doesn`t want to be at Celtic Park anymore" and "He is coming to the end of his Celtic career."
Not the first time Tosh has said things about Naylor. Tosh would be better now than he is ffs!

I am again angered that the Manager choses to play Naylor therefore giving the opposition a weak link. Even SPL teams have noted it and every team is playing to our weakness.
If Naylor remains the left-back after January (window opens nine weeks on Thursday :nervous: ) then ultimately we have shown our hand as being happy to qualify and no more. I am not happy at this and having played three games in the CL this term, I feel we may have cheated someone else out of a respectable show. The second half of the group couldn`t be any worse so that`s a consolation.
I`m not biased. I don`t care who beats Rangers

It is up to us, to everyone at Celtic Park, to build up our own legends. We don’t want to live with history, to be compared with legends from the past. We must make new legends."

4 years, 40+ signings down the line and the guts of £50m spunked up against a wall and the best defence strachan can give us is wilson, mcmanus, loovens/caldwell and naylor?

we're mugs.

Sums it all up.

And it's why the man just has to go.

We all know it won't happen before the end of the season at the earliest, I just hope he has managed to arse another league victory on the way to his departure.

Win the league and then leave us all alone. (I do realise that winning the league may result in having to suffer another season with the midget in charge. I do get the feeling though that in his mind, this is his last season, so hopefully he does the honourable thing.)

As for the Manure game, well I was one goal out.

Too many imposters in our team and in the dugout.

And what more can be said about the likes of Naylor and Caldwell?

Andy Walker just proved how little he actually knows about football.

You know what?

Having just thought about it there, i don't think replacing Strachan is going to make much difference. Sure, we could end up with someone with a bit of tactical nous and ultimately someone who is a better manager than him, but any new manager is going to be confronted by the same obstacles Strachan has.

Namely that prick Lawwell and his fiscal policy.

Very, very depressing when you think about it. :(

I am so sick of seeing this cunt in a Celtic strip.

I actually wished a horrible, painful death on him at several points tonight.

Strachan should be ashamed of himself, for a) buying him in the first place and b ) still having him in the team two years later, when it became clear straight away that he should be playing for Stevenage.

He is literally one of the worst Celtic players ever.

I had 0% hope of us getting anything from the game and wasn't let down. Wouldn't have even minded if we had beaten Aalborg and maybe held out for that point in Spain. But 0 points and 0 goals in 3 games is pish.

The inevitability of it all has stolen my fire and instead of being angry I'm just depressed. The SPL is starting to feel more and more like Alcatraz, something we'll be locked inside of for the rest of our lives with no chance of parole.

When's the six nations start?

For any Champions League manager, that record would be enough to have yer jaicket on a schoogly nail.

Two more gripes I forgot to add earlie.

Boruc's save for Berbatov's second. And Strachan's body language throughout the second half.

Both pretty embarrassing TBH.

I couldn't believe the nick of Strachan whenever the camera panned to him.

Sitting there with his head in his hands. Thought I was watching Ally McLeod. :raging:

In fairness to Celtic and having been at the game,we were actually playing ok until the first offside goal went in.Once the second dubious effort was scored, the Celtic heads visibly went down and the United tails were lifted and it was then that they stepped up and showed their true class and extrordinary talent.

Down, tired, hung over but still enjoying European football and loving the Celtic........ :D

We gave 100% for 30mins, after that we gave 10%, As soon as Manure got the first offside goal, Our heads went stright down, Then we had no heart no belive and deffo no motivation, It realy was a discraceful performence in the end, And like Henke said, It was embarrassing looking at WGS attitude, Sitting there with his head in his hands clueless, Bit like the 4-2 defeat to scotlands shame... :raging:

I dont mind loosing to a better team, But at least go down fighting with a bit of heart, I felt sorry for the fans that paid out there hard ernd cash to make the trip down to that shat pit last night. :(

Oh and please give Naylor a free transfer in the jan window.... :banghead:

There are some real pressing questions that come out of this game. The result I can accept, Man Utd are a phenonmenal side and Rooney was incredible last night, around 10 levels up from anything we can produce. There was a point in the second half, where with his back to goal, he endured Hartley and Caldwell barging into him from the back and simply bounced off them and took off. Now I dont know if the weights in the Old Trafford gym are much heavier than the ones at Lennoxtown but it just about summed up our night, as athletes we couldn't even get near them, depsite all the hot air we hear about the fitness in the squad.

Is anyone being coached at CP? Is anyone taking Naylor aside and spending a few hours with him on keeping his position. Or crossing the ball. Everytime he gets the ball on the wing with time you can gaurantee it will come down somewhere over the far post with snow on it.

I understand the differecne in finances between the clubs but for the money we have spunked up the wall in recent years we are still left with a team that find ten yard passes and simple ball control a major obstacle. This needs to be adresses. First touches are in the air and the amount of misplaced passes is embarassing.

All in all, the result was coming a mile off but the most infuriating thing is the mistakes in the performance which have been there since day one and are now inherent in any Strachan side no matter the personnel.

Still we could still win the league and get our passport to more drubbings next season which will be nice.

Who asked you, anyway? :D

OK, we have a point, but ask yourself this: Do we deserve one?

Anyway, quote of the match reports goes to the Irish Times:

What does £30m buy you these days? An invisable cloak, apparently

Have also noticed the phrase 'spunked up against the wall' is fast becoming the most popular term for Strachan's transfer dealings here on TCE :D

from The Herald

Officials surprised they got it wrong

The Belgian match officials who failed to rule out two goals by Dimitar Berbatov and wrongly judged Wayne Rooney to be offside as he scored another against Celtic have admitted they were surprised to find out they had blundered.

Frank De Bleeckere, the match referee, and his assistants, Peter Hermans and Alex Verstraeten, have come under fire for their displays at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Berbatov was clearly offside when he scored each of the opening two goals, while Rooney was onside when he claimed another in the match, which United eventually won 3-0.

The officials claimed they were unlucky and insisted the fact that Celtic players did not complain at the time backed up their decisions.

De Bleeckere said: "At the moment itself, we were not aware of the error. There was no protest. I walked off the field with a good feeling. But when you see the images, it's a shame.

"The officials are a team. We did okay at the European Championships and in the Champions League. We must help each other and see it as a learning curve."

Verstraeten and Hermans both failed to flag for offside against Berbatov and were labelled Dopey and Sleepy following Gordon Strachan's pre-match reference to Snow White.

Verstraeten said: "I can deal with such comparisons. We have not yet talked about it as a group.

"I admit to the mistakes, but we also ask for understanding. Offside decisions are the hardest to judge. We are only human flesh and blood.

"This is the first time that we have made a mistake in 52 international matches. It is our bad luck that the mistakes came at goals. It is no consolation that Manchester United would have won without these decisions."

He added: "Some players argue their case in front of us, but no Celtic player protested. That proves that the offside decisions were very tight. At the end of the match, I was surprised when I saw the television images."

well cheers for that guys.....makes us feel so much better!
