I reckon 'Bruno' would run riot up here but......it would be far to easy for oor full backs just to hit long high balls up to him. So for that fact alone I would have to say no.

I meet the real Frank Bruno the season Celtic were playing at Hampden. He was on some PR thing and was trackside at the game we beat The Huns 3-1. Cass Pennent was his body guard that day and Bruno had a PINK British Knights Shell suit on......

Add to that Rudi Vata scoring for Celtic it was a strange day....

Welcome Keving :thumbs.up:

I think like you that we struggle at the best of times to produce consistant free flowing football, and this would encourage the "backs" to hump the ball upfield and not much else.
We already have a very good target man in Jan imo, but he is unfairly judged on the past exploits of Big John, and the master Chris Sutton. Mobility through the team is at last being addressed with Shaun. I hope we keep the energy levels up throughout the season, and if we do this, we should be strong enough. To resort to another Big Man would be hellish imo.
(unless of course Jan leaves :hmmm: )

Not long til the January window and insanity part deux! :stir.it:

We sometimes hit Big Jan to often and I don't think he is a target man as such. I agree, he does get bad press but we have been spoiled in the 00's wie the class of frontman we have had.

Thanks for the welcome....

All you want to do with JVoH is give him the ball in the box and we will make chances. Unfortunately seeing as our central midfield has a habit of playing 3 yard in front of two centre halves (who are already 5-10 yard too deep thanks to their abject lack of pace) this is likely to be difficult to do as JVoH has all his work to do 35 yards from goal, which is a terrible waste.

Heskey won't be coming anyway, Bruce won't sell, especially as he is getting back into the Ingerlund set up and first and foremost, we simply cannot afford his wages.

Oh and welcome to TCE keving :thumbs.up:

Agree, him now being the saviour of England means a move to Portsmouth, Englands English Club, is now inevitable.

We should be signing his Wigan strike partner, Amr Zaki, who was outstanding for Egypt in the African Nations Cup, has scored a few in the EPL, and is apparently on loan at Wigan for a year.

Honestly, powerful, great on the ball and a real physical handful, would do great for us. Mentally right as well, never gives up and will do really well for Wigan this year I think. :thumbs.up:
