The last time I saw an actual Mojo was at school many years ago during my formative years..

Ah yes I remember them well. "The original 1p chew", perhaps you should go to a school to see if they st....oh hang about, after recent news events that might not be such a good idea

Possibly better to go looking for Mojos Here

Did my gnar riding & shredding of the trails make you feel inferior? ;)

Seriously, though, sorry to hear your dilemma, just come riding with us whenever you feel ready - rides just aren't the same without shaking trees and ground. :ph43r:

Same old same old?.......what you need is a bit of a change, how about some drop

handlebar action?....if thats a step too far ,try a Long Travel Hardtail or maybe

something with fewer gears....look at doing a different event maybe...a marathon

type of thing,a 6/12/ 24hr race with some mates or that Fort Willliam Enduro thing

(how many runs down in 6 hrs).....theres tons to do out there, just dont stop riding

Geezer!!.

Hobbz on a Singlespeed???? Unthinkable!

Now, Hobbz on a CX bike.... Now you're talking B)

Actually, how about a lighter (gulp...) rigid long travel hard tail with a 1x10 setup? Enough to gorilla about but a chance for some more finesse?

Lots of options around, or perhaps you need to something off the bike and creative: you could try taking up a life drawing class at the local art college too. I found this very good as I learned a great deal about drawing and as a bonus I got to look at naked ladies for 4hours every wednesday afternoon for a year...result! :)

Guy, surely you realize, by now, that Hobbz has a single speed - ramming speed! ;)

Take a month off, forget about bikes, don't worry about the mojo, it'll creep back.

When you start back do something fun, few miles, just something that'll put a smile on your face.

@Hobbz - if it's any consolation we're struggling with mojo at the mo too :-( Work is taking over life and with no rides in the diary we're just not bothering to get out on our own - oh and we've been ill for weeks with snot and coughts.

So how about motivating each other and arranging a ride? We were chatting last night about making sure we got out this Weds for the Steak night ride at the Cricketers in Berwick, why not come along ?

I feel your pain.
Its the weather isnt it , the stupid flipping rain , the mud , the cold and the dark .
Its dark when you get up , its dark when you get home .
All of your favourite trails , cheeky or otherwise are running so slowly its all really hard work . Then when you get home you spend more time cleaning stuff than you did actually riding .
Its been exacerbrated by the 'damp' summer so everywhere has gone to mulch even quicker than normal.
Whats the point in going out and destroying hundreds of pounds worth of kit , for getting cold and wet and nowhere fast .
I ended up doing a 60 mile road ride sunday as i couldnt summon up the enthusiasm to go off road .
The rest of the UK has access to either graded trail centers or rock based areas like the peak where you can still get in a ride without needing tractor tyres .
and now its pouring with rain . again .

I found that throwing fireworks at Jim whilst dressed as a zombie helped my biking mojo enormously..

(basically - like what other sensible people said - do something different and fun!)

If this was a combat situation, we'd be dead by now.
Thanks rich....I think. I've found doing something different helps in these situations.

hmmmmm,

Hobbz you are hereby banned from riding a mountain bike by Imperial Order. Being caught riding will result in a fate worse than death.

(being forced to wear lycra and ride a road bike on a flat windswept busy dual carriage way; upon reflection Guy will be forced to watch him performing this act for having something to do with Ford Diesel systems)

Nothing like breaking rules to get the juices flowing...........
