Hi there, just moved to the area, so new to Eastbourne and of course, this club!

Wondering where's good to ride.

Are there any downhill tracks around? Any dirt jump venues, XC that's more down than up etc?

Any thoughts/guidance etc would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Hi robbo
Welcome! A group of us ride most Wednesday nights! We meet at pentlands carpark in jevington for a 7pm departure and either ride the forest singletracks etc or go for a longer ride accross the downs!
Usually ride for a couple of hours, and finish off in the eight bells for a drink!
Your more than welcome to join us,
Ash

Friston and Paradise have some DH stuff, plenty of singletrack in Friston if you have a look, unfortunately you'll have to learn to love hills. It is the South Downs :D

Paradise is really good if you like steep (really steep) Or Chalk.
Though, if you don't like chalk, you shouldn't really have moved here!

If you go on eastbourne council web site they have a map of all the rights of way with bridle paths marked , It would be a good start point .
but join an M@ ride soon and let the locals show you

odd thing about paradise woods is once they made it official no one rides there .

Thanks guys. Paradise looks like a few hours of fun, will try that.

Need to invest in some lights and a pop-up seatpost before I come out for some XC action ;-)
