I'm looking into buying an On-One Inbred frame, to build up a bike for a friend, but am not sure about the sizing. Trying to compare against my Genesis, but that is 19 inches and the Inbred is available in 18 or 20. Looking at the geometry figures, most of the measurements are the same but the seat tube length of the Genesis falls smack between the Inbred sizes, so I'm concerned that one will be too small and the other too big. Does anybody have an Inbred in either of the two size who can comment on how they may suit a person of 6ft, with an inside leg of 29 inches? Rich? Robin? |

29 ins leg I think thats a case of long body short leg I would suggest the smaller bike so he can get his knee over the pedal when crank at 3 oclock [abigger frame may leave him too far back ] put a longer stem on it to more room to stretch out if needed |

I would reckon that an 18in Inbred frame is the way to go, that's what I have and I have a 32in leg measurement and am a smidgen under 6 ft tall For a 6 footer, the 20 in frame will be a bit of a gate in comparison |

Hi Bob Welcome to the world of value for cash, fun to ride, all round good fun bikes!.. Inbreds have a lot of standover due to the sloping top tube and are renowned for a long top tube......Im 5ft 11( with a longer inside leg) and ride an 18inch frame with the seatpost about halfway out....tried a mates 20inch,everything just felt a bit big...... 18incher will be spot on for your mate, lively and chuckable.(the bike!).......if you want to try one of mine give us a shout.. P.S You are talking 26inch arent you? Robin |

Bob, Basically - he'll be fine with either size but prob best on the 18" On-one say that an 18" will go to up to a 6'2" (google their size page) R |

One thing, for some reasion Inbreds like to be, for want of a better word, manhandled..the bike really comes alive if you give it some stick ( as you have to on a Singlespeed), this can feel a little odd at first as the ride can be a little wooden until you force it about a bit, this could be down to my Rs Reba race forks though, mine is great fun when you do this

Guy...manhandle, I think not! Perhaps a firm word over a cup of tea, at the most a clip round the ear BUT never manhandle.

Thanks for the advice chaps - pretty much sums up the page that I discovered on the 'on-one' web site. Definitely going for the 18 inch frame (yes - for 26 inch wheels, Rob). |

I too have a 29 inch leg I keep wondering if it would be better to go for 70 mm cranks might lose some leaverage on the crank but might gain a better leg position any thoughts ? but there again does 5mm really make any diference I could move my cleats that much |
