Hiya, Do you know I think I recognised the first couple of minutes of that. We used to go greenlaning quite a lot up at Hindhead, across the A3 and round the side of the Devil's Punchbowl and I reckon a couple of the trails were the same as the ones we used. Clearly worth a visit this spring then ![]() Nick |

*Sigh* sunny dry days ![]() The first bit looks like the run down from Gibbet Hill somewhere round here clicky The rest looks sort of in that area. Its a good amount of vertical descent there. Good riding around that way. The track down the back of the punchbowl is particularly memorable From Here to the river crossing here and back up again the far side. ![]() R |

@Bill, Greenlaning was where we rode road-legal dirtbikes on Byways (Green Arrow) and Unclassified trails. Some time back a lot of the Byways in West Sussex were reclassified as 'Restricted Byways' (Purple Arrow) - open to everything bar motorised vehicles. So, its legal in some places but that doesnt stop a lot of dirtbikers from riding where they want... Nick |

Punchbowl is a great playground to go mountain biking in, trails litter both sides of the A3. I used to ride it reguarly when I was at Pompey uni. |

@ Frewheeler many thanks for your kind offer, front mech is ok now , It was made in the lowest pit of hell and takes hours to set up so nothing rubs , in fact I think that it is a design fault with the bike, the bike is very prone to to chain suck ( denied by Gary Fisher ) most reviews will say thi, and I think the chain line was wrong hence they discontinued the range |
