Ha ha, NOT I hate that film, chilling in every aspect; the scariest bit for me was the computer sim the guy ran for first to final infection should the Thing get loose.

Polar bears can be dealt with using a sharp tap on the nose and firm "No!" should they approach or misbehave, at least that's what I thought. I'll get Ollie to try it out first.

Pity I couldnt get over to Eastbourne for this :(

I had to console myself with an attempt at my "any given sunday" loop where I discovered that no, you cant ride in snow that is over 1 foot deep...I was warned by two other bikers going the other way who said "you're gonna really love the next bit"

after this pic was taken I had to walk/push for about 500m , quite a few places where the snow was over my knees!

Still, good fun and a slightly hairy downhill on ice too ;)

Excellent pics - looks like you had a great time (and a lot of fun!). Must have been a proper workout carrying up that hill :o

This was never going to end well was it?

@Rich, that hill was pure purgatory, not quite the Everest, take a step, breathe, take a step, but my knees are FUBAR at the moment, I hope I can walk tomorrow.

Went out today with £5 gloves and no probs,so spending £30 on bike specific gloves perhaps was not a good idea!

p.s. you should have been out with us today it was great!!!
