Probably urinate down saturday night now, ride to start Sunday 10th at 1000 for 1030 roll, meet near chez Ming taking in Bleedin' Lisa (soo scary at the moment), either B'stard or Longman before a bit of epic SDW and Lullington Heath. Following this we'll drop into Friston, climb into the forest and a bit of singletrack before heading back (maybe via pentlands depending on how brave we feel). Hot beverages available at the Imperial Palace afterwards. Tea, coffee etc Ride to be social of nature (I'm on the Beast), with much comment on snow technique and tyre choice required. If snow drifts are found we can try riding through or into them at great speed  Any piously righteous born again single speeders also welcome. Any takers? Ming |

With the mini blizzard blowing in Newhaven, I'm definately up for this if I can get the van out of the street (was stuck this morning and Sally has no patience, so we walked)Might be bringing along Paul, he was one of the latecomers at the Anniversary ride. |

with much comment on snow technique and tyre choice required Well you mentioned it first...so... Whats best...skinny mud tyres to cut through the snow, or fat tyres to float over the top (but risk clogging due to lack of frame clearance?!) |

OK, meet point is here: http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=broad+roa...5:17|broad road eastbourne| Let me know who's coming so I can PM my mobile no. PLEASE check roads and weather and allow plenty of time, if its really bad I'll cancel it SO keep an eye on updates. I was up on the downs this morning and it was evil, I estimate it was gusting 35 mph so windchill factor of approx -10C so dress and layer accordingly. I'll tailor the rides length depending on how exiting the weather is BUT I fully intend to get onto the top of the downs by Longman to admire the views and we'll go from there.

Van now turned round and reversed back up hill with help of spades, carpet offcut and neighbours so should be a simple process of release handbrake and roll down the street rather than a hill start ![]() The Punto is absolutely useless in this weather, its a disgrace when all the other small light cars can get around

We'll be going up broad road, along the road to Jevington and then TR just after the house with the big duckpond out the front and across to the wannock fields towards the byway and then onto folkington. That's 4 of us so far |
