Think Bonty Tyres are a bit hit and miss...Ricks 2.3 (?) Bonty Jones ACX are really easy to get on, my 2.1 versions are really tight. Only yesterday, someone posted on STW cos he couldn't get ACX TLR tyres onto Mavic XM719 rims. One tyre tighter than the other! Don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but try and get the tyre bead to sit in the well in the centre of the rim whilst you get the last bit on, will give you a bit more room. |

Oh the joys of Bonty ACX, i put them on the front in june last year, and still going strong. But as you now all know, they are a struggle to get on, it took me 45mins, in the warm with loads of fairy liquid, so keep at it, they sre geeat once in. |

For quick removal/fitting consider one of these. Fitting a Jones ACX takes a bit more effort with it than most tyres but still only a 2 minute job. It works by pushing the bead to the center as you work the tool around the rim in fitting mode, with tight fitting tyres a bit of assistance from a lever might be required. |

Bill - where abouts on the downs did you go? Tempted to get out and have a play but just got a new board and dont want to scratch it to bits. A snowy@rse trip would be cool but off to Sauze D'Oulx next weekend and probably couldnt fund another trip this year  |

Thanks for the tyre tips guys, it would seem you can teach egg sucking. I walked up from the start at E,bourne by the schools and played around there, and the snow was as good as you need.Would be best to try and get higher, might try long run before birling gap or even other side for the blacks! Have fun! Off topic... As ive been with Fitness First for awhile they giving free memberships for a week for two as a promotion to get new members,so any @rses out there that would like to take advantage of this let me know, includes spinning. @Bill - tyre fitting ... ME! c'mon that's what I have Rick for    all I know about tyres is they're round, black, mostly knobbly and the bigger the knobble...the bigger the .... GRIP ! Feedback from Rick though is that they're a b*gger sometimes and the tubeless are more of a b*gger than non-tubeless. Happy tantrum ! |
