Good day to all, it's my birthday on Saturday and i always go for a ride, would anyone like to join me on a 25mile Trek from Tilgate to St Lenords in Horsham and back. Me and Adrian did this route on Monday and it was great, roll from the spillover in Tilgate at about 11.30am, would be really great to have company for the ride, which i know you will enjoy. Let me know.

Dave,

Sounds good to me. How do you get to the spill over from K2 car park?

Tony,

Immediately after you turn off the A23, to enter the K2 car park, look for a small lane on your right - follow this, past the zig-zag barriers and down the hill until you can't go any further - there is a free car park on your left.

From here, unload your bike and continue beyond the posts that stopped you from driving any further - this will take you up the hill and to the (now abandoned) pub. Turn right, onto the lawn area next to the pub, down the short flight of steps and head towards the lake that's in plain view. follow the lake shore in a clockwise direction until you reach the overspill (about 400 metres)

For more details, see this map - switch to 'satellite' view, paying attention to the little 'spike' that indicates the car park location.

I just sorry that I won't be able to join you.

I would like to but am currently up north so won't be able to make it. If Dave brings you back from Pease Pottage so you cross the A264 don't make the mistake I did & try to ride down the concrete ramp resulting in a crash into the barrier on the A264!!! Painful & embarrassing!

Have a good ride & happy birthday Dave.

Hi Robin,
I will assume that you have been to st lenords, but if you haven't, the single track is simply awesome, one section goes throu close packed pine trees (i think, no green fingers here) for about 750mtrs, feels just like whistler????????, some very steep long decents and the fast stuff aswell, look forward to meeting you.

Doubt there'll be much mud or wet out there - it's f-f-f-freezing here at the moment. And there's snow on the ground! Just enough to make the roads white, but it'll probably melt later.

Highs today will be 2-3C, so t-shirt and shorts weather. ;)

Good morning, weather looks good for a wintery ride, and the trails should be firm. So anyone out there who wants to join the fun join us at the spillover at 11.30am-ish to roll asap, go on ..,,,you know you need too...., Dave

Great ride just wish I'd had breakfast beforehand

The new additions and links to the singletrack promise some really good riding in the spring.

Definately got my tyre choice wrong, the Captain on the front just washes, time to get the Mud X's out.
