A fine evening out was had by all and the whole night passed with a level of calm, respectable and low-key non-alcoholic merry making:

I didnt realise it was an Adam and The Ants theme night....

Still, out of the party festivities a plan was hatched (ie, Lisa ordered us all) for an early, well, mid-morning, well, near midday ride around our fave Stanmer trails to make the most of the remaining snow:

And some classic trails were ridden (thanks Gez for leading :) )

Big thanks to Lisa for all the organisation, shepherding, cajoling, encouragment and enthusiasm for organising the Party. Nice dancing too... Hope the headache's gone...

Happy Christmas all B)

I know that Jim is new to this single-speed lark, but you'd think he'd have worked out which way round the bike goes by now!

To all, that was a great night. Loads of festive fun and merriment, just what a xmas party should be. I really enjoyed my meal and I thought the pub was a brilliant venue and they looked after us superbly. Yes, my head hurt but hey it wouldn't be Xmas without a stonking hangover...would it ?!?!?

I'm also happy to have lent my finely honed organisational skills (er bullying) to get you lot out on a ride too, I was only sorry I missed all the fun in the snow. It looked really cool and the feedback from Rick was 'it was one of the best rides he'd been on in ages'...that is almost over the top excitement from my hubbie

Have a great Xmas one and all, see you on the trails in the New Year

Lisa x

a video here on vimeo. the encoding to vimeo flash format has made it a bit grainy, but you get the idea...of our nuttiness.

ollie even gets a snowball polo style :)

got impossible to ride n film after like 50secs..hence the crash effect. honestly..
