TinTin and myself planning on joining you for this festive fun, if anyone needs a lift from Crawley we could probably take one or more, plus if planned right, we might bring a jet wash and water for afters
Cheers

I'd love to join you too as this is my local patch but my cold has completely wiped me out - I cant cycle to the local shop without feeling faint let alone up to Glatting Beacon.

Enjoy yourselves!

Right, bike clean and lubed, washing on, time to reflect on what has to be the best winter ride i have been on. Thanks to Guy for leading us into some great, and testing trails, thanks all, you all helped make my day. And a big thank you for the jet wash. Right, hot bath and more turkey for me. See you all soon.

Good pictures - looks really wet out there.

That first photo looks like the singletrack that runs just off the Denture to the bottom of the dip in Houghton - why are the three of you pushing your bikes?

I'm the one in the bright yellow jacket. All day my bike refused to go in my granny ring!

But today was a great ride. I'm all shaken up and rattled about. Damn hard tail and my over hard forks! I need a softer spring for sure :(.

I'll stick my photos up tomorrow I think.

THanks all!! And especially ming for the ride :)

So you see, even after all that rain and snow the trails were a perfect blend of dry, dusty, fast hardpack...

The forest logging work didnt seem to affect anyone ride too badly..

hope you enjoyed the ride guys, thanks to all who came along and shared the muddy fun (ie. pain), slight (ahem) navigation issues and the coffee and cake (of which there was loads!) afterwards.

A few more pics
here

Because it was very slippy, and difficult to get traction (that bit was steeper than it looks in the picture) - my plan to obtain extra downforce by eating every turkey in Sussex didn't seem to work :(

Nice photos.

You were only a couple of pedal strokes from my trail nemesis 'The Spider'.

Big thanks to Guy for putting together and leading this ride, great to hear you all had a fab time and that the coffee went down well. Sorry I couldn't be with you on the day to share in the pre/after ride banter, but we had some bad family news over xmas and I needed to be at home. Pics look good though, that puddle is just amazing. Last time I rode by there it was a baking hot day and Ming crashed out on the grass in sheer agony on a LFH ride...remember those long hot summer dayz? Not long now :D
