LANDIS (The Winger guy)

Basically, how to recruit him because A LOT of people have trouble.

I discovered that you do, in fact, have to be in a VERY PERCISE area of the Kupit Forest. You cannot just explore the entire thing randomly and expect him to stop bye. You gotta be in the 2nd screen after entering from Duck Village!!!!!!!! YOU MUST be in this screen, he will NOT show up otherwise.
(And also have to have one empty party slot)
I swear, when I learned this I went to that area and he appeared in my second battle. You can get him very early in the game if you know where to look!!!

Also, this must be not during a story event (I'm pretty sure you can get him when Chris goes to find the Flame Champ!)
=======================

Edge

Edge isn't to hard to get, but, he can only be recruited within certain time periods which is why I include this. You just have to recruit him at any point you can enter Le Buque. However, since this town is difficult to access throughout the game the first and certainly easiest and earliest time to get him, would be when you first enter the town as Geddoe.

====================
Koroku (The dog)

This little pup can be kinda hard to find if your not looking. At Mt. Hei-Tou, take the first left, then the next left. He will be hiding at the left part of the screen.

Funny thing about Landis, is the first time I played it. Landis magically appeared in my party, and I didn't know where he came from or how; I was just like "Who is this guy?".
It was a complete coinqy dink; it's funny cause that was my first time playing it and I didn't have any trouble with him the first time.
This seems to happen to me alot in other Suikodens as well, I'll just magically get someone that was hard to get for everyone else!!! Like Oboro in V and there was someone in Tierkreis I got easily.
The funny part is in one of my last playthroughs, Landis was very hard for me to get! XD
Please tell me the answer, is fate unchangeble? even at his most powerless man's existence is never without meaning.
What was the start of all of this? When did the cogs of fate begin to turn? Perhaps it is impossible to grasp that answer now,from deep within the flow of time. But,for certainty,back then, We loved so many,yet we hated so much,we hurt others and were hurt ourselves.... Yet even then, we ran like the wind,Whilst our laughter echoed, under the cerulean skies...

Oddly I'm the same way.
My first playthroughs of Suikoden I got Leon. Suikoden 2 I was able to find how to get Clive and some other harder to recruits.
3 I got Landis, and 5 I got Oboro.

I did, however, have trouble with all of them on my later playthroughs. I don't have trouble with Landis anymore though!!

I think Georges was a pain to get in my first playthrough of Suikoden 1,his match game was irratating.

I dispise the card game Billy has in Suikoden 3,getting his card laying sequence got annoying.

Getting Landis wasn't too bad for me,i showed patience and wandered back and forth until he appeared.

Could Landis be Sid's son?

I'm pretty sure that Sid and Landis are cousins actually.

I think most of the characters with any type of "game" that you have to play, are pretty tough sometimes or all the time. I remember trying to get Rita, I lost so many times. Although now I'm okay with it, because now I know how to play; but I had the hardest time cause I just didn't understand the game.
