I'd figured i would add him to this list, since i have his song "Go for a Soda" playing now in myspace area, i did have another one of his songs playing there before called "Rock and Duty". Kim Mitchell originally was part of a band called Max Webster before going solo in the earlier 1980's,i recommend entering his name on you tube since you can find and hear lots of bands on there. If you hear his songs i hope you enjoy them as much as i do. My best birthday, was in the 90's when he brought his Wild Beach party tour into the town i live in(he was promoting his "I'm a Wild Party CD back then). He just released a new CD called " Ain't life amazing" his first one in 7 years. list of his cds Max Webster: Sales status 1976: Max Webster(Anthem Records) Gold 1977: High Class In Borrowed Shoes(Anthem Records) Gold 1978: Mutiny Up My Sleeve(Anthem Records) Gold 1979: A Million Vacations(Anthem Records) Platinum 1979: Live Magnetic Air(Anthem Records) Gold 1980: Universal Juveniles(Anthem Records) Gold I never followed Max Webster,i wasn't a big fan of their style of music, put Albums reaching Gold and Platinum levels means they sold tons of copies. Kim took a break and went solo after this. Kim Mitchell Sales status 1984: Akimbo Alogo(Alert) Platinum featured classic hits "Go for Soda","All We are",and "Lager&Ale". 1986: Shaking Like a Human Being(Alert/Polygram) Triple Platinum featured classic hits "Patio Lanterns","That's the Hold",and"Easy to Tame". 1989: Rockland(Alert) Double Platinum featured classic hits "Rocklandwonderland",and"Rock N Roll Duty. 1990: I Am A Wild Party(Alert) Platinum A live Album featuring classic hits including the title track "I Am A Wild Party",That's the Hold","Battlescar","Lager&Ale","Deep Dive","All We Are","Rock N Roll Duty",and "Go For Soda. *It was the Tour that promoted this Album that stopped in my town, exactly on my birthday, the show was awesome,i had a great time the best birthday ever,he played other classic hits from the previous albums not on this one as well there.* 1992: Aural Fixations(Alert) Gold The Song "America" was on this one. 1994: Itch(Alert) I missed finding this one,so i don't know the songs on it. 1995: Kim Mitchell Greatest Hits(Alert) Platinum Basically covers all his classic hits, from previous albums,a few remixed versions, and some new stuff. 1999:Kimosabe(Chinook/Oasis) Another one i missed finding,so i don't know what songs are on it. 2007: Ain't Life Amazing(Alert/KOCH Entertainment) featuring the title track "Ain't Life Amazing","I Got A Line On You",and "Killer's Name" Weird the only ones i don't have in my collection, never reached At lease Gold,or even Silver Record sales status,so far his second solo Album sold the most copies hitting Triple Platinum. I changed the song on myspace area to "Ain't life amazing" about a couple months prior to it being released in stores. |
