"FFXIV, too good, or not too good to be true?"

Final Fantasy XIV announcement caused some major shock, either good or bad, on FFIX fans to know that a "sequel" to the previous MMORPG title, FFXI, will be available for PS3 and PC on 2010.

A special "Teaser Site" for the game is available on the official webpage for all Square Enix worldwide portals. The game's trailer is available in gorgeous quality, so click right here and watch the trailer.

After the E3 trailer shown at the event, some high-sharpened detailed screens started to roam on the internet, and I'll take no more time and show them already.

The game is being directed by Nobuaki Komoto (Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy XI) and produced by Hiromichi Tanaka (Final Fantasy I - III, Final Fantasy XI), with music arranged by the mythic Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy series) and art direction by Akihiko Yoshida (Final Fantasy XII, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics).

The game's first artwork, from artist Kazuya Takahashi, is yours for the downloading. We're only showing you a snippet of the full-sized piece above, which measures a hefty 3000 x 779 resolution. You can download that right here should you be in the market for something new and crystal-filled for your desktop.

The game is planned for a world-wide simultaneous release in 2010 on both Sony PlayStation 3 and PC. Currently the game is unrated, and there aren't any details on subscription costs.
