I can't draw... not if my life depended on it... and I WANT to. Where do I learn?

No, seriously, google it o.O

If you type in "How to draw Manga" it'll bring up hundreds of tutorials that help beginners learn how to draw. It's what I did to learn how.
Now, this isn't like riding a bike--You're not going to get it perfect in a week or so. It'll take years and years to refine it. I'm on my 3rd-4th year or so, and there's still a lot I have to work at. Before, I could barely draw a stick-figure to save my life, honestly o.O

So yeah, go for it =P

That's for you... for me it would be around 10 years. But thanks, I'll take the tip... I'll start by practicing eyes I guess... then other aspects of the faces when I have it down.

I'm drunk on KNOWLEDGE!
Yeah, art will take years. I'm in my 5th-6th year of serious art. And I wouldn't suggest just working on one thing at a time. Try and refine the whole human anatomy at one time, so you don't end up like me and end up ruining crucial parts like hands because you cheaped out of them early on. >.>

I'd pick up an anatomy book somewhere, and start there. I'd also suggest looking at realistic things before starting out in stylized anatomy. Get a good grasp of her things SHOULD be before tweaking the actual anatomy. From them on you can move to coloring, perspective, animals, etc.

Okay... even though manga seems easier then realistic.

Neither is easy. Both have their harder points.
