There, how's that?

btw, the thing over her shoulder is just a circular-shaped cloth. It has no real purpose except to add a little bit of difference to her clothing, lol. Underneath of it, the breastplate is a mirrored version of the other one, just with that strap you see connecting into the back of it.

You did it again.

YOU LUMP FOLDED AGAIN.

ARRRGH! >.< Watch your folds! You keep making the outer ones lumps, and it's incorrect! *Kicks* Fix it!

*Doesn't need to give compliments since she did so last post on it. >.>*

Okay, I think this might be a bit better now then.

Better, but it doesn't look like it's going around her body. The fabric needs to be a bit thicker around there, so we can tell. =)

*Waits for screams*

Hey, Swift, look here. I want to see some action sketches from you, ok? Like, very rough sketches where you an see the shapes and stuff. You don't have to get detailed, or even make them anything past the figure, but I want to see some running, kicking, punching, etc. You got that? Now get drawing! *Punts* They shouldn't take that long. And maybe some expressions to the side, like, big expressions. I want to see your level in those areas.

I see you doing a lot of cleaned up sketches, and while you can improve that way, you can improve faster by just working on certain things over, and not even getting detailed. (Unless that's what you're working on.)

I guess I could try that.

Before I had tried some action scenes (if you look at my OLD Lance and Ruby drawings, there's some in them), but later on when I started drawing characters for roleplaying purposes, I just wanted references for them so that people could see what they looked like. Besides this, I also wanted to just get them worked out without having to worry about motion, etc, for then.

I'll just draw the proportions for now, and then go back later and draw in the clothing, etc.
Uh... any specific action you could think of to start with?

Back from haircut. Try different action poses, since your characters fight. Punching, kicking, running, jumping, any of those would do. Maybe hae a figure they're hitting, too.

Uh, just wonderin', what's lump folding? I think I know what it is but it's, uh, probably uber r0ng l0lz.

The way I thought of it, if you look at my Avelyn drawing before she mentioned it, is that long the sides it shouldn't be rounded off into "lumps", it should be somewhat choppy and seem to pull and fall depending on where the fabric is and how it hangs.

If you're planning on using folds in your own drawings, Bani, look up a tutorial on it, they could explain it through pictures, etc a lot better than I can with text =P

yeah, it's where the fabric rounds off when it shouldn't near folds.

Where are those action poses, Swift? >.>

Okay, before you start strangling me, that isn't inked; apparently there's some kind of photo-photoshop demo program on our computer I found. It let me darken the lines, etc, but not color them >=(
/uses a stream of very colorful words... pun intended.

Anyways, I had this half-way done when you told me to do all the action things, so I just went ahead and finished it. I'll definatly fix up some of the lines and the really simple/obvious mistakes, I just wanted to get up what I had tonight; it's close enough to finish to do so, anyways.

So, I'm ready. What horrible mistakes have I made? :x

I want those action poses by tomorrow. >.>

The right foot (our right) it not angled with the direction the leg is pointing, which much be painful. the right arm is also longer than the left, the the fingers on that hand are too thin. The fold near the left part of his chest are odd, and the folding for the longer pants is weird. Also the hand holding the sword doesn't seem to match with the angle the sword is pointing.

Other than that it's good. =) The eyes are looking more like Rynk.

Okay, I'll see what I can do. Gonna be hard to do some of those, like the arm and stuff seeing as I got pretty far with it :\

Anyways, Tessie, I'm not going to be able to do the actions yet. I just can't. I need to get simple proportions down to the point where you can barely find too much wrong with it before I do more advanced things. I can't do foreshortening, motion blurrs, wind/motion effects until I know how to draw first.

That's my goal; one step at a time is the only way I know how to do anything like this.
Anyways, I gotta run for the night, so I'll see you tomorrow if you're on.
'Night.

There. Something still bothers me about it besides the goofy shading of his eyes. I moved the hair out of them some and did what you said, but... something still doesn't seem right; he looks too tall or something. Think I should make his head slightly bigger?

ARGH! Stop lump foldiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!!!!!! >.< Next time it's a slap!

*Ahem* Anyway, the head is fine, do not make it bigger. We aren't going for shoujo here. I think it's because you made his waist too long. also the fingers look strange. The belt also looks flat. but other than that, it's fine.

Where did I lump-fold at? The cloth under his shorts? ; ;

anyways, okay, i think I can fix all that; I didn't particularly like the fingers on the right hand either, was just too lazy to fix them before I asked about the lengths :\

Yup, in parts and they overall have too many folds in them. Also on his jacket, near the left (our left) side.

Also, I forgot to ask: it was Nefarin who gave Rynk the silver bracelet, wasn't it? Have I been drawing it right, or was it supposed to be thicker, etc? Also, were there any specific details in it, or was it plain? O_o;
