Advanced Member Posts: 668 Group: Admin Member #3 Joined: February 17, 2007	Good news: we are FINALLY on Zetaboard's Directory! Not only that, but we're on the 5th page, rank #47! Considering all the other boards out there that's actually pretty fucking good! It was even better a few days back when we were ranking #30, as it says so in the admin CP. So taking advantage of this and that finally we'll be getting some exposure and people will be able to actually see us when they're looking for a new site to RP in, I really want/ NEED some help to get it running properly again. Seriously guys, we have nice event going and people were posting in it fine until all the mods suddenly left. So I was the only one left to do so and it was simply impossible for me since it was created on the basis of many people running it. Magna is back so I'm sure I can count on him, and I'm pretty sure I can get Cali back as well, but if this place is to actually climb up the directory's ranks we need lots of posting, not just the event. I need the members to come in and post in a few topics for a while, just regular topics will do, and as soon as there's some activity I will send out a bulk email to bring the old ones back. So here's the thing: People posting = activity Activity = Visitors are not scared away by a dead-looking board Visitors stay = New members New members posting = Board goes up the ranks Board in high rank = more new members If we can get that loop we will remain active and Shambala will grow quickly. If we don't the board will plummet down the ranks real fast and we'll be lost forever. So it's now or never! In order to get that loop going we need people POSTING and working hard! We need good, stable, dedicated staff to maintain whatever we accomplish and not let it fade away like it's happened many times before. So I'm asking of you all, whoever reads this: Will you help me make Shambala live again?

Endymion is coming back it seems, I still need to talk to Calimon, and I know Pendragon will be back on as soon as he returns from his trip to Japan. So ok, we got a team! Let's get to work! The first thing I need from everybody is posting. Make a topic, or a couple of them and post. It doesn't need to be a big deal, anything will do. We need fun, interesting general chat topics or replies to the old ones! And of course lots of RP topics, the more the better! The more newer posts people see the more they'll be encouraged to stay! The 3rd thing I need is advertisement: tell your friends, RP buddys, etc; to come have a look! Can we all do that? Not only do it but keep it up for a while? SURE WE CAN! Alrighty team-o! I'm counting on you!

I need some good ideas to promote shambala, seriously!

That would probably create more traffic but I don't know if anyone would be likely to stay. Another thing I've seen on more overdone roleplaying sites are plot request sections. One of those could work if it doesn't screw up the ambiance.

As for the plot request that'd be ok, but only after we actually have people here who can RP said plot.
