I think we didn't put in a limit because we're trying to keep the site accessible to as many as possible. You'd have to ask Tanathos to be sure, though.

I believe this has come up in the past and it's still the same. We don't have a word limit, I find it snobbish to require that of people as a must in order to join and RP here, though we do wish for post which are longer than 2-3 lines... otherwise most of us will get discouraged. :/
