This Role play will be set in a fantasy world created by me for a story (yes, you will get to read it eventually if you stick around this website). The world technology is around that of the medieval times (so weapons will be swords, staves, bows, knives, etc.) There are specific Pre-set races. I will provide a short description of each race and you can message me if you have any questions before you make a selection if you would like. This world is still in the process of being made. All input/ideas will be appreciated. (new races, suggested addition to racial abilities, etc.) More world information you should know: magic- magic is not very common and it is impossible to completely master an element as well as to use two elements that are opposites (e.g; you can master earth and water, but not earth and air or water and fire). Only Humans can use elemental magic but they must have the proper magic blood. magic weapons- Only Fae know how to imbue magic into weapons but they cannot imbue them with elements. they can however do things such as make them lighter or make them hit twice as hard upon impact. (imbuements can be set to only work for the rightful owner.) message me to get approval on any imbuements on weapons to make sure that they are possible. Racial appearances- races do not have set appearances, just like humans they very from place to place and each place will have the same effect on all the races in that area (this is because it is assumed that all races developed from one master race [extinct]) example: if all the humans from one area have Asian features, then so will all the Fae and Aganem there. Prophecies- Prophets can be found in any race but are rare amongst the Aganem. Prophecies are fragile and once broken there is no way to know what replaced the event prophesied. Prophets usually see a prophecy after seeing or touching something related to the vision they get. Whenever a prophecy is made, the master prophet (which is whoever happens to be the most powerful prophet of the time) will know about it. he/she will know if any prophecy is broken but only the original prophet who had the vision will know what caused it to break. Prophetic power comes with a physical characteristic that will not manifest until the person makes their first prophecy. This characteristic is white colour in the iris of the eye. The more white there is, the more powerful the prophet. HOWEVER, prophetic power does not mean they can choose what they see, nor does it mean they will be more likely to receive a world changing prophecy. The power only relates to the master prophet who will have more than just the power of seeing prophecies. Race Information: (note: NONE of the races can cross breed with each other) Humans: Humans have knowledge of potions and incantations but to really harness the power of magic they must be born with magic blood (which can be passed down from generation to generation while dormant) This magic-blood will come from one of two clans: (note: a human with blood from both clans will have no magic at all) -Mages: wielders of elements, they can fight as long as they have their element with them (ie, to wield fire, you must have fire. most fire masters have fire starter built into something simple to start battle at any second) The raw elements used by mages are very powerful. -Wurrs: They have the ability to create pact with astral beasts (from the astral plains, more than just the astral beasts inhabit this place, but anything else is unimportant) to be able to summon the beasts body to replace their own. This can be used for fighting, hunting, traveling or whatever else you can think of. If a killing blow is dealt to a beasts body, then it will return to the astral plane. the human will be back in their own body, unharmed but dazed and they will never be able to use that form again. the switch or 'transformation' involved in a wurr switching forms is instantaneous and painless. However, a weak wurr will only gain weak pacts because you must be equal in some way to the beast. (eg. intelligence, strength, protective instincts, etc) Fae: Fae can be told apart from humans because of their slightly pointed ears and height (averaging between about .5 to 1 foot taller than humans) They are generally lanky but not skinny. The Fae do not live in towns or cities, instead they live individual and are nomadic. Procreation can only be done when a Fae woman is in 'season' and if she runs into a Fae man (which is likely to happen because they will be drawn to each other). The reason they don't have children often is because they will live for a couple hundred years (their aging slows at around 16). Fae hair is unique in the fact that it can grow as a series of colours meaning the colour changes as it grows longer. They also have a wider variety of eye and hair colours than the other two races. Aganem:The Aganem live longer than humans but not as long as Fae. They live in Societies cut away from the other races (leading many humans to consider them extinct). They are a warrior society led by whoever can stay in power and not be killed or challenged. The Aganem are a race of shape changers. Their 'main form' can be told apart from a human but long, pointed ears, and small spikes, horns, or claws that correspond to their transformed self. Aganem transform into dragons (to look of the dragon will depend on its genetics and will vary from place to place similarly to human races. Also, they are normally European looking dragons but will have ears). A weak Aganem will only be able to make an anthro transformation (will still have a mainly human body structure but will alter to have the scales, horns, face, claws/feet, ears, and sometimes wings of what they would be). Aganem are able to heal small wounds and heal large wounds faster by transforming because to transform their forms are changing drastically. The process of transformation is slow and painful at first and will become easier and faster the more the Aganem uses it. Aganem have more hair and eye colours than humans but they must relate to the transformed self. (red or black hair if the Aganem turns into a red and black dragon) and will normally have slit-pupil eyes or eyes with large iris's that make it so that little to none of the whites of the eyes show. Some Aganem can be born blessed with a special ability (usually the more powerful ones) these abilities are usually thought related and are very rare. Some of these abilities can be along the lines of thought reading, dreamscaping (going into another's dreams), foresight (can see a single event of a couple seconds in the future, unlike a prophecy, these visions cannot be broken and come randomly rather than being triggered. However, time of the vision can not be known and location can only be seen by the surroundings. Example: a vision shows a snowy town and a young girl arriving in it. It could be 2 months away or two years away and the visionary would have to go find the town on their own with only the knowledge of what it looks like) I apologize for giving you so much to read, but this world cannot allow too much free-range of abilities and magic. remember to check in with me to make sure the character is acceptable and follows race/world guidelines. If I do not comment after you post to say that your character was approved within a reasonable amount of time, send me a message.
