True. lol

After Firefox updated their stuff to the 3.1 shit it became awful and difficult to use.

I still use Firefox 2.0 however.

Google Chrome I use to download multiple files as it handles multi-files download quicker

The only dislike I have about Chrome is that you have to save downloads and can't open them.

How do you mean?

Open them as stream it instead of saving it?

When you download something in Chrome they get sent to a whole other window.

That's the only bad thing about it.

Chrome makes you download/save to a folder any files before opening them. IE and Firefox allow you to just open the file while they're stored in temp files. Chrome is supposed to be changing to that soon I think.

For example, downloading a .exe file in IE you can just choose to open it instead of save it and it will open from temp files in IE but Chrome you have to actually download it and then open it from there and it's not deleted till you delete it.

Ah I see.

But opening a file without saving will cause your computer to clog up alot if you dont clean your temp internet file from time to time.

Also if you want to open the file again you have to go to your temp folder somewhere deep in your computer and look for it.

Too much work. lol

I have TuneUp Utilities to do that work for me. It deletes your internet temp files automatically. :D

No with IE and Firefox if you download the same file again it opens it from temp. With chrome if you download the same file again it downloads the whole file again and then opens it. It isn't a huge problem (obviously since I've been using Chrome forever now) but it's a slight annoyance. It clutters the download folder up. It annoys other people as well obviously lol

Yeah I know about cleaning temp files out...I use CCleaner twice a month to do it.

Opera is really nice too for any of you that don't like Chrome. That's what I was using before Chrome came out

I tried opera.

Not high on streaming from sites.

Then again that was a few years ago. They may have fixed all the bugs by now.

Wasn't Opera made for Mac users anyway?

Opera has actually been around for ages, but didn't really gain any popularity until they released their mobile browsers. I think it was originally developed just for Windows but I"m not positive. It definitely takes some getting used to when switching to it but after a few weeks I liked it

The thing that still annoys me about Chrome is the lack of a print preview function. It was supposed to be added when they added print selection (I don't understand why both weren't included in the beginning) and it still isn't there.

Yeah I hate that as well. Sometimes flash on this thing acts up as well.

So what I'm to understand from this is that Firefox and Chrome are riding the back of IE :shifty:

You should Nate.

Chrome is like Firefox but better.

And Jared, I haven't tried IE9 and wont be trying it anytime soon but I've always had problems with it regarless the version of it.

Maybe it has to do with the fact I still have XP and not Windows 7. So the versions might not be XP friendly. But that just me.

Overall, you just dont want to be using Internet Explorer when you have excellent backups in Chrome and Firefox.

do you have the IE Tab extension for Chrome? That's what I usually use when Chrome doesn't work with a website...although that's fairly rare these days.
