Dear Ozzie Guillen,

The Major League Baseball season ends in late October/early November not the final week in August.

Sincerely,
White Sox Fans

Phuck the Phillies. I can't believe Lee ended up signing with the only team worse to sign than the Yankees

Man a rotation with Halladay, Lee, Oswalt and Cole Hamels? Jeez. I still say Roy Oswalt is THE best in that rotation :shifty:

He was the White Sox closer for the last few years. He was doing good, but was off last year. He's probably an upgrade from Papelbon, but his best time is likely behind him.

I still like Papelbon.

He felt apart this year but he's still a decent closer. Instead of wasting 12mils on some guy that might not work out they should have invested that money on getting another good starting pitcher.

Is Jonh Lackey still with teh Sox? He is terrible. He needs to be shipped.

Fucking LA Angels leftover.

Daisuke may need to throw a little more hip swivel on each pitch this season as well.

If Jenks is back on his game, he's probably better than Papelbon. The question is was last year a fluke, or is he just going over the hill. Last year he had 27 saves and a 4.44 ERA.

Papelbon had a 3.90 and 37 saves, Jenks had 3.71 and 29 in 09. But I think Papelbon was in line for $9 million next season so they evidently ditched him to save some money.

Papelbon is better than Jenks, even though he was off last year. Jenks is a few years older. Lackey started off rough but had one of the better 2nd halfs of all starting pitchers.

NEW YORK—Sixteen-year veteran and five-time world champion Andy Pettitte announced his retirement from professional baseball last Friday, telling reporters he was mostly leaving the game so he could inject human growth hormone to his heart's content and not be constantly harangued about it. "I was really torn between giving baseball one more go and being able to stick myself with needle upon needle of HGH without repercussions," said Pettitte, adding that if he had been given the option to use HGH with a guarantee he wouldn't be given a hard time about it, he would still be a New York Yankee. "But it's time for me to focus on my life after baseball—specifically, how enjoyable it will be to use performance-enhancing drugs without somebody hounding me to pee in a cup." Pettitte then smiled, thanked reporters and fans, and downed more than 50 tablets from a bottle labeled Max HGH.

I dont get athletes quitting before their time.

As long as I can make money I would grind that bitch out.

Pettite had at least 2 more years in him as a starter and a few more as a closer.
