Thoughts, anyone?

I got into the series last summer, and I thought it was a PERFECT ending. If we do get movies, then it clearly sets that up, but if not, then it was still perfect. Jack never gets a happy ending, and his exchange between Chloe was great.

Call me a homo, whatever, but I did get choked up in the final scene.

And now I'm left homeless in the world of TV dramas. Battlestar has long been over, no more 24, V needs to get it's act together, and Human Target will likely be canned after S2 now that it's going to be on Fridays. I've never seen Lost, but it's pretty fitting that two of these huge serialized dramas of the 2000's ended within a day of each other.

I don't know why I watch V, Justified is on at the same time and from the episode I saw seemed to be a better show but something just draws me to V.

It sucks though, I mean I didn't watch 24 (never even saw an episode of it), but it seems like so many shows that people have followed for so long are gone now. I mean I have Criminal Minds left until tomorrow and then I am left with a few weeks of the Ultimate Fighter and pro wrestling as the only shows that really capture my interest until September and even then only a couple will be coming back.

Spartacus is gone for a tbd amount of time.
Criminal Minds until the fall
Lost is done
V is done until the fall
House is done until the fall even though I only watched it sparingly the last couple of seasons
The Ultimate Fighter has probably 5 or 6 episodes left until it's finished for the season
Steven Seagal: Lawman is suspended for now pending various legal issues

Guess I'll just have to catch up on last season's Fringe now because I have yet to see a decent summer replacement show for all of these shows going off the air.

I loved 24 for the first 1-6 seasons.

I dont know what happened to that show during season 7 and 8. They were so boring to watch I dont know. The series was dragging. They had to end it before it became unwatchable stuff.

I didn't get emotional at all watching the last scene. Thought it was sort of cheesy actually. The woman that plays Chloe sucks balls.

Lost series finale in the other hand had me tight man. Very emotional to watch.

I am going to start downloading the Tudors at some point later this month. That show is also wrapping up June 20th I think so I can go and watch that.

And David I believe it was Elizabeth Mitchell that drew you to V. It sure did me.

I wasn't sure or even hadn't seen the original Vs so I thought I'd check it cuz she was in it and I ended up liking it.

Laura Vandervoort being in it helped quite alot too. lol

I think I was always expecting some "epic" battle to take place at some point so I kept tuning in hoping it would happen, but it never did this season.

I like that V is taking it slow, but there needs to be more payoffs. We're supposed to get a look at a true V body in S2. The writers could reall do a lot and make it more political and give the show a lot more depth. Yay for killing characters off! Also, is a trendy leather jacket the official uniform of the 5th Column? Love that they use a lot of popular sci-fi actors, including a number of folks from BSG and Firefly.

A hilarious 24 website, mainly commentary on the episodes, is at thejacksack.com. It's honest and very funny.

And shouldn't the 5th Column folks actually start increasing their ranks?! Yeah, Michael J. Fox is going to make some move in S2 with his show, but they have lost approx (40% of their group in the course of the season- Georgie and Black V Guy).

BTW, the writers should make Old Catholic Guy more obviously a V. I'm not 100% that he's one yet lol.

^ Can you at least say there characters name? You're confusing me with black guy, old catholic guy and so on. lol

But I think Morris Chesnut (Black guy, lol) is somehow going to join forces with the good group eventually. We'll probably see him as a bad character for the whole season 2 though. At the end he'll probably be like ok I'll sacrifice myself for the Humans and so on.

Ding.

I don't know any of the character's names. Other than Erica, Tyler, Anna, Dale (Wash from Firefly, Steve the Pirate, etc), George Sutton (because they kept saying his name every two seconds), and John May (Samuel T. Anders from Battlestar).

Basically the other characters are:
Black V Guy
" " "'s Dead Girfriend
Deadish V Doctor with Stylish Medical Coat
Old Catholic Guy
Young Catholic Guy
Anna's Assisstant Guy
Anna's Daughter
Australian Terrorist/Mercenary Dude
Starbuck's Dad from Battlestar... I do know the actor's name though, it's Roark Critchlow

Tory from Battlestar

The character's on V have names?

I thought it was just Anna, Tyler, Erica, Lisa and then they just nod at anyone else they wanted to acknowledge.

I've seeing these actors on different shows.

That australian douche was on LOST. The young catholic priest was on the show The 4400. Anna's daughter was on Smallville as Supergirl and Morris Chesnut has been on so many shitty movies is kinda hard not to remember who he is. lol

Yeah it's like they found as many castoffs that you would barely recognize as they could and stuck them on the same show.

To me it was very overwhelming to have seen back-to-back endings. Just like I said many times here that it's been quite awhile maybe a decade or so since a movie has really shaken me up, scared the crap out of me, because Hollywood had lost its touch to scare people. It had been a LONNNGGG time since I was choked up watching how Lost ended. I can't believe there's no more Lost. One day later I saw 24 and I thought Jack was going to die I really did till 3 months ago I read that they were making a movie then I kinda a felt like a "to be continued...." but the simple fact that all these good/great shows that I've been used to see it and all of them are gone. Too many CSI to keep in touch. In all honesty the only good show that I'll follow will be Southland and that's it. Somebody better come up with a good drama series and keep it I don't care what network it is.

TPTB said the other day that they considered killing Jack off in the middle of the last season. That being said, it would have been awesome if the whole thing about the movie was all a charade to kill him off in the last scene. A lot of us went in knowing he wouldn't die, and that would have really thrown me a curveball.
