After showing up as a sloppy, hairy 315-pound beast for his last fight, Tim Sylvia is a natural to be cast as a horror film monster. Fighters.com is reporting that he got a gig in the latest Friday the 13th movie. Yes, we're serious. Sylvia has been a blogosphere punchline since he was knocked out in 10 seconds by 48-year-old Ray Mercer. He's a favorite of photoshoppers. We can't even imagine what comes now when MMA fans find out Sylvia is the latest Jason Vorhees. Sylvia does have a return fight in less than three weeks on September 18 at Adrenaline MMA 4 in Iowa. The movie is filming in the Boston area. Here's hoping that filming is taking just a few hours a day and he's actually training for his fight against Jason Riley. Fighters.com says Sylvia is working with Boston-based trainer Mark DellaGrotte. |

Mixed feelings about this. I'm stoked there is gonna be another Jason movie, but I'd hate to see him go down in like 10 seconds in the final battle when some girl busts him on the chin. Or else he better use the hockey mask in his next fight. |

'Friday the 13th' Rumor Idiotic Bullcrap Sunday, September 6, 2009 By: MrDisgusting Stupid, idiotic and moronic rumors are hitting the web in a firestorm that fat idiot wrestler Tim Sylvia, a MMA fighter, is currently in Boston playing Jason Voorhees in the sequel to Friday the 13th. I was hoping the story would die, but it's spreading like crazy as it hit the front page of Yahoo (great journalism guys). The story is fake, its bullcrap and it's not true. Platinum Dunes has yet to even get the sequel greenlit. Remember, unless you read it here on Bloody Disgusting, or any of the other top horror sites, it's bullsh*t. Update: Brad Fuller writes, "dont believe the rumor. We are NOT shooting F13 right now, and the only person i want to work with as JASON is Derek Mears." http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/17295 Funniest thing is the picture they put up isn't even Derek Mears as Jason it's Ken Kirzinger from Freddy vs. Jason lol. Mears did a pretty good job. Tim Sylvia would look pretty intimidating though. |

He's also out of the fight early, so the evidence is starting to pile up to support your theory. |

This thing is like the Super Bowl, the commercials are just as good as the fights. ![]() Between Assassin's Creed 2 and Saw 6 it's quite the event. Assassin's Creed looks awesome, maybe even better than the first one. |

Yeah it did, they should of showed the skull though. Shock television. Although when they showed the post fight interview with him outside I wasn't quite sure they had fixed it, because it still looked like it was gaped open. He'll be riding down the road in a convertable and the wind will be going right into the hole.

DALLAS -- Quinton (Rampage) Jackson and UFC president Dana White have fallen out over the fighter's decision to forego fighting in his home town of Memphis so he can star in a film version of The A-Team. Jackson and Rashad Evans were supposed to meet Dec. 12 in Memphis in a meeting of coaches of the current season of The Ultimate Fighter reality TV show. Instead, Jackson will be reprising Mr. T's role of B.A. Baracus. "When Movie Star's done doing his movie, we'll figure out when that fight's going to happen," an unhappy White said yesterday. "The crazy thing about this Rampage thing is he's giving up a lot of money ... They paid next to nothing." Asked if he will consider some kind of contract clause to prevent this from happening again, White replied: "If you're dumb enough to walk away from a ton of money and go do a movie that they're not going to pay you anything for. Can't fix stupid, man." The incident is all the more galling for White, who rushed to Jackson's defence after the fighter was arrested following a bizarre car chase with police after he lost his title to Forrest Griffin at UFC 86 in July 2008. |
