Ok here are some mystery/Horror books I've read and I can recomend and say it's worth the read.

Pandora's Star
The Dragon Quintet (I think this book was my most favorite read ever)
The Elric Saga

Although the last one is a part of a trilogy so I dont think you would want to read 3 books to know the end. lol

I love to read!!! I'm a book worm! haha

Have you ever read anything by James Patterson? He writes like suspence books. The Women's murder club is my fav(there is 7 so far in that series)!! Or he writes stand alone novel's.. and he has a couple of other series. I love his books. I have read most of his that he has out.. and most of them I have read in 2 day's... haha I know I'm a dork ;)

Umm.. I have also read Nicholas Sparks. He's good.. but I like James better.

Do it..............now.

Amazing book, nothing like the movie at all. Once you read the book you will be angry the movie wasn't like it. The only thing it has in common is the vampires...and most people didn't even know that was vampires in the movie.

It's more like a short story though, if you don't want to buy it I can send it to you.

edit: and by short story I mean ~100,150 pages. That's what it's technically called though. It came in a book with like 5 other short stories, none of which I read

Ummm let's see.

Another SciFi type book is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's more of a scifi comedy, and is probably my favorite book of all time. The movie butchered the book :(

Angels&Demons was a really good. It's a mystery novel by Dan Brown (same guy as Da Vinci code, but this book is better). The movie is coming out this year, and I'm interested to see how it turns out.

I'm reading Einstein's bio right now (which you wouldn't be interested in), The Book of Lies (another mystery novel...not impressed so far), and I'm still working on World War Z too.

If you don't mind humor books, Stephen Colbert's I Am America (And So Can You!) book is pretty good.

haha I picked it up at my college's bookstore a couple weeks after the movie came out. I think it was like 15 dollars and it included all those other stories, so if you can find it by itself I'm sure it will be real cheap.

 I will see if I still have it. I loaned it to a friend whenever he let me borrow World War Z. I can't remember if he's gave it back yet or not. I know he's done with it.

I dont even know where there is a bookstore around here. Know plenty of Libraries but I just dont like their shitty 2 or 3 week limit return policy they have.

I pretty much buy everything I want from the net.

I agree Brian should look into the Women's Murder Club. It ties in nicely with his recent string of topics.

Stephen King's The Stand
James Patterson's Black Friday(also called Black Market, not really sci-fi or horror but good)

I've been wanting to read the Dexter series of books that the tv show is based on but haven't yet. I think they are written by Jeff Lindsay and first one is Darkly Dreaming Dexter.
