I really didn't mind ether Bradford or McCoy winning it since they both had amazing seasons. Tebow did not deserve to be a finalist this year though. He didn't have a year near as good as last year, and I think Harrell should've been a finalist instead of him. |

This is ridiculous and we all saw it coming in like October. I told David, Harrell will get hosed and Bradford will win it. Why was Harrell not a finalist? He had better stats than Bradford with less weapons. I mean he has Crabtree but not much running game, I just don't understand why they wouldn't have him there unless they thought he would get blown out in votes, which is ridiculous. Watch Harrell be the best in the NFL. |

They didn't invite Harrel because they didn't need Texas Tech to justify robbing Texas this time. They could just do it straight up. |

I wonder if Bradford remembers the Fiesta Bowl last year when he had that completely lost look on his face the whole game.

![]() Have you lost your mind? Harrell is another creation of the system, have you forgotten all the sling swingers ie... BJ Symons, Sonny Cumbie, Cody Hodges and Kliff Kingsbury. Yeah, whatever happened to them? Every one of them had better passing yards in a season then Harrell. I think that's the reason he was left out of the Heisman running. They're all a product of the "Air Raid" Offensive under Mike Leach, which by the way, now that we're talking about look alikes, does anyone see a leaner Don Vito when you see him? lol

And just so I can get this off my chest. Yeah I am bitter and dissapointed that Texas is not playing for the championship, but having said that, I always thought that we were and are a year away from having a team to beat. McCoy coming back and it looks like we're getting a 6'6" WR from Abilene, Texas. A tall receiver is what we needed, and we had a sucky secondary, they will come around next year and maybe they'll learn how to tackle someone when the game is on the line. So it's very possible that we'll see a Rose Bowl matchup again like we did 3 years ago between Texas and USC. But what pisses me off, is whoever schedules the non-conference games for them. It just killed us and that's why the Sooners went ahead of us. Is Pathetic, we play UCLA away and at home and Ole Miss after that, one home, one away! While Oklahoma plays Miami next year, then 2 with Florida State and then after that is Notre Dame which very well be very good at that time (2012-2013) considering that most likely Urban Meyer will go to South Bend after they get rid of Weis. After Notre Dame is 2 with Tennessee and then 2 with Ohio State. Ole Miss and UCLA?? You've got to be kidding me, whoever makes the schedule for Texas oughta be fired.

You can't really blame the AD of Texas for the schedule..they make the schedules 2-4 years in advance and looking at the non-conference schedule of both teams this year there's not really a big difference in the SOS. The only relevant non-conference team OU played was Cincinatti. |

Um yeah I can, when you schedule Rice, UL Monroe and some other non-name school as your non-conference games, then you should get fired. Oklahoma is going to be playing key teams, Texas can do the same, they can call Penn State, or Florida State or Oregon, West Virginia or an Auburn/South Carolina team, something that it's not going to hunt you at the end of the year. They need to grow some balls and schedule top-tier opponents, not laughable schools. Edited by HuskyMan20, Dec 14 2008, 08:10 PM.

Ok i do agree with you in a way seeing their schedule..Florida Atlantic, UTEP, Arkansas, and Rice. That isn't gonna cut it. Get a series going with TCU or some other nearby strong opponents. But i think beating Oklahoma on a neutral site should still have gotten them in the championship game. |

Hey me too, but they insist that we should consider Tech beating us. WE LOST ON A LAST PLAY!!!! Tech got their asses whooped and the team that is playing in the title game lost as a #1 by ten on a neutral field. But hey they wanted that matchup, and that matchup is what they get. I just hope that Florida don't destroy Oklahoma and Texas destroys Ohio State, because then everyone would be saying "Um yeah Texas should've continued on and played Florida".

I would love to see FSU play Texas in a home-away series. We travel to BYU next year, and then like you said have Oklahoma 2 years, not to mention playing UF every year as an OoC game. |

I'm loving that WVU has decided to step it up in the scheduling here in the past few years. In the next 5 years we begin home-away series with Michigan State, LSU, Florida State, and we re-up with the old Maryland rivalry again. |

Tebow will be the best of the 4 in the NFL and that's only because he will probably be in another position. He's too small and slow to be scrambling in the pros like that. Anyone remember the prodigy that was Jason White? How's he doing now? He was the next Oklahoma prodigy and now he's selling shoes in a mall. That will be Bradford's future. McCoy is a product of Mack Brown's coddling and will probably be a nutjob like Vince Young and every other Texas "star" by the time it's all said and done. Harrell is probably the best passer of the 4 but and I'll admit that I haven't seen a lot of him, but he from KB's list of QB's in that system it isn't looking good for him. |

True he is a "system" QB but there is a difference between him and the other Red Raider's QBs. He is bigger with a stronger and more accurate arm. Also here is a description of that "system"... "The Air Raid has typically been predicated upon quick reads and the short to medium range passing game. Running the Air Raid efficiently takes a good deal of skill and smarts, but it does not require the cannon arm so beloved by NFL scouts. Nor does it require a quarterback who is fleet of foot and capable of making something happen in the open field as has become all the rage in "the league." Indeed, the Air Raid takes advantage of short drops and quick passes precisely to obviate danger to the quarterback. There is nothing that strikes fear in the heart of Leach quite like the possibility of his starting quarterback suffering a disabling injury." --from rivals.com Does that sound similar to a certain pro-offense maybe the "West Coast" offense. However, that wasn't successful in the NFL oh wait pretty sure the Niners would beg to differ. Finally, remember I didn't say he will be drafted over the others but Tebow won't run the option in the NFL so I don't think he will be too successful. Bradford is a stronger arm Jason White but he will be shell shocked in the NFL, if he beats Florida I will definitely change my tune on him. And Colt McCoy is talented but what will he do against a team that actually plays defense like many NFL teams, short answer: probably interceptions. |
