I voted for McCain but I'm cautiously optimistic with what might happen with this Obama presidency. Taking a wait and see approach.
That makes you smarter than 99% of the people I know right now.

You say that like you're suprised and like I already wasn't. :aaron:

Nope. A little double meaning though. Either with Romney's economic experience they'da sat pretty with this economic situation that seems to have decided the election, or one woulda slam dunked the other's head into a desk. They did not like one another.

I'm with OS I don't understand the tv stations calling the elections with such a small amount counted. They called Maryland for Obama (which is no surprise) with 26% reporting. Mark Warner was winning big time for Senate here with like 86% reporting and they still wouldn't call it. Now were those just the large counties that had reported in and the others even if they had all voted for McCain wouldn't of mattered or was the ticker behind or what?

It is either the big counties that they had reported on or the ones that weren't counted fully had been predicted to go Obama's way based on prior polling I think.

I'm so glad. Change is what we needed and change is what we're going to have. We are THE United States of America and everyone needs to do something to help this country raise once again and stand tall. Like C29fan, I'm tired of hearing Rednecks and people from the southern states being angry because an African-American was elected as well as (bleep) jumping up and down and throwing hissy fits saying "Payback time bitches" Obama ain't like that, and I'm confident that he will turn this country around and for the better. He's going to be supported and will be re-elected in 4 years and I'd love to see Hillary Clinton and Rudy Guliani (sp) be the next candidates and McCain? Give it a rest old man! I hated it when he said "My Friends" bitch, you ain't my friend. lol And his stupid salute, two tumbs up and pointing at people, god that got on my nerves! Maybe if he would've done more campaigning about the things he wanted to get done and stop bitching and whining about Obama's ideas then maybe he would've gotten more closer then he did. He bitched about how Obama was inexperienced and yet he hired Sarah as his running-mate....umm....yeah. The Republicans should've done better then McCain and that's why I'm hoping Rudy runs for the presidency in the next election. I was surprised on how Texas was won, they all expected to be 70-30 McCain but it was very close disputed going 51-49 McCain. A lot of Texans were backing up McCain because Bush is from here and because they are republicans. All and all, I'm very eager on how Obama is going to change things around with our country and no, I'm not saying that it's going to get done in a year Jared! Change is what we're getting boys!

if he backs up a quarter of what hes promised things will be great... he did a great job of telling everybody what they wanted to hear.. obviosly it will be impossible to meet everything.. but if he doesnt come through with enough of them though the people who blindly followed him with out doing any research what so ever arent going to be happy about it

personally i think this is going to go one of 2 ways he will be rewarded for a job well done with another 4 years or hes going to make tha backlash against bush look like nothing
