RIP. I was a Rocker fan when he pitched, I thought he went overboard with his comments but so have a lot of other people. He had a point but he conveyed it in the completely wrong context and it fell apart from there.

He was the man in 1999 though. Brandon and David might know what I'm talking about, the last part of the '99 season had that magical sorta feel as the Braves were trying to hold off the Mets to win the East. It was pretty much over after his remarks even though he had a decent 2000 and was doing halfway decent in 2001 before getting traded to Cleveland, but he took us Braves fans on a fun ride in '99.

Man, John Rocker was and still is one of my favorite players. The guy had so much natural talent he could of been one of the greatest closers of all time but after he went off against NY he got some sort of mental block it seemed and it was all over after that. A real shame that someone that was so potentially great is relegated to Pros vs. Joes now.

But I feel so bad for him. He and his family are in my prayers. Man this week has been horrible.
