Of course, the '76 race did have one other interesting subplot to it. The top qualifier, A.J. Foyt, was furious after his apparent pole-winning speed was disallowed when NASCAR officials found "sufficient evidence" of the use of nitrous oxide to enhance the combustion of his engine. In fact, the top-three qualifiers all had their speeds disallowed -- Waltrip for the same reason as Foyt and third-place qualifier Dave Marcis for yet another infraction.


Damn waltrips adding to their fuel :lol:

Nah there isnt much orginal to come up with that someone hasnt already. Some of this stuff they have done was a whole lot more ingenious then just addin stuff to fuel
