He drops to the back of the field but he'll be allowed to keep his victory. His car was a full inch too low. |

No, it was found to be unintentional This should be interesting to see, considering you've got Gordon, Montoya, Harvick, etc. in the back of the pack starting the race |

Speaking of which, what a drive he did there. Around 10th with three to go, around 6th with two to go, 3rd going into 3 and managed to win the race. And were the announcers terrible or what! There are other things other than the battle for the last transfer spot going on. As thrilling as seeing if "Stunt Man Stan" makes the show or not, it's nice to see the leaders once every race or so. |

Agreed. That's why I hate FOX, they have no excitement at all calling the race. Gordon is one hell of a driver, he made did a perfect fake move on Kurt Busch to win the race. |

well you do the math lol its no wonder he sailed it to the front .. and as far as the stuntman goes i think a wise man said it best "stantons a real nice guy and all but he should stick to his day job of lighting himself on fire and jumping off buildings" or something along those lines

I think that's a little misleading. The speeds may have increased if it wasn't in the draft, but he used the draft the entire time and didn't drive away from the pack so clearly there's an issue with that statement in this case. That might not make any sense, but what I'm trying to say is I think that if that were really the case, he would've driven away from the pack, which he didn't. It really doesn't matter, because either way it was a great drive and gave me some hope (added to the truck race) to what has so far been a lackluster Speedweeks. |

NBC was ten times worse with the Duels last year. I know it was on TNT but it was horrendous. At least Thursday there was some mention by Darrell of Gordon making his move even if we didn't see it. |

Well ESPN is so far blowing both of them out of the water, which is no surprise. |

You can't blame FOX for that. If ESPN did the duels they would've done the same thing. The Duels most excited moments come in the final lap where those guys outside looking in are trying to race their way in. So FOX has to treat that as their top priority. And also let's not forget about the 1st race where Mike Bliss missed the show by inches, so they knew where to go on the 2nd race. |

Looks like I did blame FOX for that, actually. ESPN was far and away the best when they left and the best now that they're back. I forgot what it's like to watch a race instead of a commercial fest. And their talking heads actually know what they're talking about!! |

I agree that ESPN is doing a great job and I think even better then what they did back in the days but like I said, Duels are for those trying to race their way in and FOX or whoever is airing the race is going to focus on that. During the season there's always no battle whatsoever in the lead and as the leader crosses the start/finish line, they would instead focus on battles for position further down the field. Like guys battling for 3rd or 4th. I remember a Texas race couple of years ago where I think Newman won and they didn't show him take the checkers, instead they showed Jr and somebody else (I think it was Kenseth) battling for position. It has happen many times and I've seen it from FOX, TNT, NBC and even back then with CBS and ESPN. |

And let's see- Newman had already crossed the finish line and we all knew it. It's not like Newman passed two cars in the last two turns and won. Either way, I don't care if it is the standard, doesn't mean I like it. |
