They gotta make the field first. And all the money in the world isn't a substitute for chemistry. These teams Toyota has aren't exactly great ones, by any means.

Jack Roush is saying what most us fear: Nascar being ruined in the upcoming future. Let's all have a reality check and face the fact that Toyota keeps making money and money and oh yeah more money, while we have the other brands struggling to sell cars. Ford yesterday announced that they let go 30,000 employees. And no shit dewy about Toyota not having big dogs right now, but that's the key word RIGHT NOW. What's there to say that they won't be trying hard to persue marquee drivers? Like it's happening in the Truck series?............EXACTLY.

its not like toyota broke the bank in the cts the other 3 manufaturers all cut their funding drastically.. a ford was only i think 6 points(cant remember if thats the exact number or not) out of the lead for the owners title at the end of the season and they werent running toyotas or have toyota backing.. bowyer and busch dominated every race they were in and they had no toyota affiliation and you look at the drivers toyota has and its not cause they went and outbid other teams for them they picked up a bunch of other drivers who nobody else wanted

but that's my point Jared. All the other 3 manufactures are strugging to sell cars and laying off people while Toyota keeps selling and selling and what that means: more money on their racing development. It's going to be sooner or later before the first shoe drops and one of the big 3 will announce that they will not longer be with Nascar. I just hope for the better of the sport that they regulate the manufacture's expenses such as wind tunnel time, number of engineers and others.

KB your worrying over nothing. I seriously doubt toyota will ever dominate like some manufactures did in the past and I seriously doubt the big 3 are going to let Toyota come in and steal the spotlight. You are saying down the road Toyota will dominate but how long is down the road to you? down the road chevy and ford might be making more money then toyota we don't know what the future has in store so sit back and enjoy the ride because I see ALOT more wins and championships coming from the big 3 then I do toyota in the near future.

Toyota will be about as successful as Dodge was when they came back in 2001. Toyota may get a few wins in their first few years, but it's going to take several seasons for them to make championship caliber teams with good drivers. Look at Dodge. They still haven't won a championship, even though Newman and Kasey won oodles of races in 2003 and 2006 respectively. Plus, Toyota sure isn't going to dominate like they have in CTS because Chevy, Dodge, and Ford have all scaled back their support tremendously in that series and it's a wonder those other three manufactures are still there! Toyota will have mild success in Cup, but not enough to have Roush concerned. Maybe he should worry more about fixing his teams than a new manufacture.
