I think we all agree with that. They've got to stop the cars from sealing to the track. |

NC6 is right, Pocono is tons better live. As for Jr, if he ran the stop sign guy then ok i see the lap penatly then. Still sucks either way. |

You could practice an hour before the race and your still gonna have one or two cars that will dominate. The impound rule is one of the best things Nascars done. Instead of coming in on Thursday and spending that whole practice for mostly qualifying and happy hour saturday for actual race practice, you get almost 2 hours on just race practice with maybe two laps being qualifying practice which is basically put tape on and go. It's saving money too because they are eliminating the special oils they use in the engines, trannys and rear ends for qualifying. |

The only rule I will agree with but I still don't mind it is the gear rule. I don't think any of the other rules are hurting the racing. |

The funny thing about the impound rules is that everyone says that they save money and maybe they save some... some money but when you look at the bigger teams, all that money that they save they're spending it trying to field a busch car in the busch series, with that they have to pay the crew, driver, inspection, tires, fuel, and all those kinda of stuff so how much do they really save at the end of the day???? |

Its eliminating all the trick stuff for qualifying which saves money. It also saves the crews alot of work. Any little bit helps especially for the smaller underfunded teams. |

well the bigger teams are doing so and that's what I was saying. you're saying that is nice because the pit crew and crew chief get to spend more time for with their families but half if not more stay at the track helping the busch team. Like Robbie, he stays over to help matt and when Matt isn't racing he stays with Brad Parott to see and hear Carl over the radio. So all I'm saying is that they really don't get to spend time with their families anyways and they're spending money in the busch series anyways. is a big plus for the lesser teams out there though. I'm not saying that i don't like the impound rule I'm just stating the fact that they're really not saving any money or spending time with their families. |

with the impounding procedure you have teams and drivers like Jimmie Johnson, E-sad, DJ, Bobby Labonte, Sterling Marlin, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, and others. You'd see them any given year but they're doing double duty especially during impound rules. |

I think theyd be doing it anyway. Everyone has already been saying for the past two years that it helps out even before the impound. I honestly think its time to look back at going to 6 cylinder engines or something just so it ain't so much alike to where you can't gain the knowledge. |

Thats a choice though they aren't being forced to. They are just doing it to get knowledge for the next day. Your missing the whole point. The money is being saved because they aren't buying up the trick qualifying stuff and aren't dealing with two totally different setups which allows them to just concentrate on race setup. The money and time is saved in qualifying is no longer a factor for most of these guys they don't have to worry about the lightweight oils and greases, changing gears, all the different springs and shocks they used for qualifying only, engine parts that some probably only used for qualifying because I'm sure some changed heads and intakes for qualifying and probably carbs too. With an impound race you pretty much role out and work on a race setup and don't have to worry about all that extra stuff if you don't want to. The money teams are going to spend money anyway but it saves them a little but like I said its the underfunded teams its helping more. |
