I don't think that has a lof of factor in it. last year we had cars dominating a race i.e....Jimmie Johnson at the Coke 600, Newman at Dover, Jr at Bristol. so explain to me again why the impound procedure makes the race "boring"?

Which is why at the beginning of the season, actually before, I said that impounding Cup cars would be a stupid idea. Looks like I'm right. The past several months, it's just been one car that dominates.

:screwy: they get just as much practise time as they did before.. and races like pocono chicago and michigan have always had a dominate car so yout theory dont hold any water

Maybe so, but so much changes weather wise and track wise (amount of rubber, type of rubber if ARCA ran too, etc) from Friday to Sunday, that it's just a guess. Saturday to Sunday isn't near as big of a difference. I just think that the more you let a team practice, the better cars will handle and the better race you'll have because the cars will all be a lot closer together. Now we have 1 car that leads 75% of the race in addition to a lot of single file racing.

2nd of all, it hasn't really trimmed down the weekend for the teams.

Theres a difference from this years domination to Jr's past domination. Before Jr could be passed with a good push

this year nor Gordon neither Tony were able to be caught

i see a difference

Same here. Just about the past dozen races or so have been dominated by one car.

the plate races are pretty much irevelant in this arguement anyway especially dega.. they can practice for a month there and the car wont get any faster.. the drivers say themselves your pretty much stuck with what you unload

yall must syffer from crs cause there was just as much domination last year as there is this year.. they dont have points for qualifying so why do you need seperate practice and set ups for it?

That's true. It got really exciting with about 5 to go when Gordon lost the lead and then just mashed the gas and blew by them like they were sitting still.

Maybe I'm just imagining that people are dominating, but they sure have here lately.

The roof strips and the spoiler thing was the best plate racing they've had. I don't know why they got rid of it. They're gonna find a way to cause a big wreck one way or another.

you also have to take the gear rule into account now you have to make your car handle in the line around the track that lets you keep the rpms up as high as possible before guys were winning races because they had the right gears in the car.. richmond is the perfect example there used to be great side by side racing there and this year you could only run up top the cars bogged down way too much on the bottom

I don't know why Nascar thinks to solve a so called problem that we must throw 5 extremely bizarre things to create a bigger problem. That's another reason the racing could be better, motor doesn't mean as much as it used to.

From what I've read, Kurt was trying to make a #97 from his burnout. I think he sucked miserably on that one.

i think all of this years rules suck hard..

The impound sucks, Gear Rule Sucks, Spoiler and tires made racing worse than last year.

go back to 2003 package with softer tires IMO

2001 was the best year of racing I can remember. 3 last lap passes for the win.

I thought last year's rules package was good, same for 2003. I think if they had made one change at a time, the racing would be spectacular.

im gonna sound like mikey here but these cars are way too aero reliant if you want better racing dirty the cars up get rid of aero push.. look at the cts its not often they have a boreing race i mean it happens but your not gonna beable to make every race a nail biter
