The hottest driver in NASCAR right now is Greg Biffle. The number 16 car has won four races this year and Biffle finds himself in 2nd in the overall point standings. Greg called into the show Wednesday to talk about his success this year and his late start in Nextel Cup racing.

Most people who follow the sport have been surprised by Biffle's emergence this year. But Greg told me that he saw this coming. He finished strong last year, winning two out of the last ten races and he thought that he could run off four or five wins this season.
Greg is the only driver to win both a Busch Series Title and a Craftsmen Truck title. He said the experience in winning in both of those series has helped him in the Nextel Cup races.

Greg is 35-years-old and is only in his third Nextel Cup season. It took him a while to get discovered. In fact, he told the story of how Benny Parsons saw him dominate a couple of races in the Northwest and suggested to car owner Jack Roush that he take a look at Biffle. Greg said all he needed was someone to believe in him and Roush was the guy.

A good guy and a good driver. I have a feeling you will hear Greg Biffle on this show again soon.
