Sponsership for 74?Justin Peters, the driver of the 74 car in his rookie year next year, is going to run independently in the Sim Cup season. The decision came when he held a meeting with his Busch pit crew members and team staff. He is also reportedly talking with a few companies about sponsership. In the mix reportedley are American Eagle, Oakley, and Winner's Circle. more news when it comes.

(The number 74 isn't taken is it?)

de3 was finally found for comment leaving a restroom

"cant even take a shit in peace...anyways, the track is pretty much complete, just needs to be smoothed over and will be race ready. Weve sent some trucks out there to tell us how it is and they loved it. Although it just about rattled there teeth out but thats what we are working on. Should be 100% ready for some kickass racing soon :up"

Dude, that sounds awesome....you should run a few trucks teams (B'nR, A&WM, KHI), take pictures, and call it a practice session.

rockon going Japanese???

FLR President rockon annouced today that their newest sponser, Nintendo, would be sponsoring a truck and will come on as an associate for the Nextel Cup car.

Nintendo spokesman:

"Well, we saw the competition on other cars, and figured we needed a car out there. We plan to be in victory lane many times in the coming seasons with FLR."

Also:

Toyota to FLR? rockon has confirmed that FLR and Chevy have had a few arguments over the Dodge Busch car. Chevy, after this season, will no longer give factory support to rockon. It has been confirmed that he will start driving in a new car as soon as possible.

Coke and de3 part ways
Coke and de3 parted ways today after Mt Dew signed a contract with de3 to be an associate sponsor. There logo will replace the Cherry Coke logo behind the number on the Bud Ice truck. This also applies to the Cup series but since de3 is teammates with the Coke driver, OS20, it will stay on the car till the end of the season

OS20 wasnt available for comment

In following the lead of some other drivers, HomeDepot20TS is supposedly looking into fielding a car next season for a current driver under the moniker of AKR Motorsports, which was the name of the now defunct single car team which fielded the #28 car last season. Chevron will supposedly be sponsor and the car will be a #71 Chevy. "I've had a good partnership this year with ChevronTexaco. I'm really looking forward to having both Texaco and Chevron on both cars at points during the season." said the team owner. He also said that he had an idea of at least two potential drivers but did not hint as to the identitiy of any of his options.

Anyone who will be a second year driver next season who's interested in the ride, PM me. I'm not looking for any rookies....yet. If I decide I'll have a rookie, I'll say so here.

New team in Nascar for 05 season Today at a press confrence for upcomming rookie driver 24flamezrule, it was announced he was going to join a new team for his Cup/Busch/Truck ride in the upcomming seasons. The team is called Lead Foot Racing Inc. or LFR Inc. THe team owner is Tony Raines who after his sponsership and team problems in the Nextel Cup has decided to start a team up. The team will be based in Panama City, Fl. And will receive its' factory support from Toyota. 24flamezrule's busch car will also be switched to Toyota next season. Tony Raines has supposedly inked a deal for Winner's Circle to be the main sponser in Truck/Cup, and Oakley to be the Sponser for the Busch car. As of now LFR Inc. is only a single car team, and is looking at the possibilites of expanding to a multicar operation.
