OK guys and girls I have a idea, something which I am hoping may attract nations to stay once they arrive. I have a feeling that what I am about to suggest already happens but on a non-formal basis, and I would like to formalise it. SO, when new nations arrive who are already in the UN, or if they get it etc etc, then a group of say 6 people give them endorsements. That way, as far as I am aware, someone needs 5 to suugest proposals in the UN, and it mat also boost the who regional influence thing. I just kinda feel that if we give something to new nations, to encourage their participation and such, then they may be more inclined to stay and to get involved both on the RMB as well as the forums. SO, what do people think. I know theres the obvious risk over invaders, and we could be making it easier for them, but 1. we have a founder who could eject someone instantly, and 2. I hardly think 6 would make that much difference. To the council: Also whilst we are hovering around this idea, how many endorsements does RoA have? and also does JB have the second largest count of endorsements?? |

As a Founder-present region, invasion is no worry, really, except that a few nations could be booted out before we have time to act. However, the Influence rating shoul prevent them from doing that, as they couldn't kick out nations with high influence, so we'd still be OK. I think that's a fantastic idea Zak. We could even mention it in the Recruitment Telegram. That way, newbies would see instant gratification for joining Q102. Genius Zak, pure genius! Also, the new nations will probably also endorse those that endorse them. So Aaronyne should be one of the endorsers, as that will boost his Influence rating. If we do this, then we should all get to endorsing each other first. |

that point has been proven JB, a fairly new nation, LI something I think (quite chatty on the RMB) endorsed me after me endorsing him. I too think this is a good idea. lol (BIG HEAD ALERT LOL) I was thinking it should be the council anyways and say myself and perhaps nev (if he's still in the UN) that way its the most active people and the most experienced, and yes JB like you said, we could mention it in the Recruitment TG, I really think this might help, even in a tiny way lol ok I am going, I am making no sense, but I am glad you guys like it. |

You always make sense Zak, but in a special Zak way.
:P I think we need to get a few more people to debate this and maybe vote on it before we begin. |

A couple of people sending tgs and an invite to the forum always helped in the past too. Also I do often endorse people for this reason, I probably endorse more people than most - I'm just easy that way :D |

I was sending welcome TGs to all newcomers for a a while, but recently I've just been sending it to ones that I recruited. However, there's always welcome messages on the RMB for newcomers. So, who shall be doing the endorsing then? I think me and Aaronyne should certainly be two of them, to try and keep the Delegate with the most endorsements, and Deputy with second. Nev and Zak, I take it you two are interested in this? Any other Councillors? |

I'm up for it, although I try to endorse new UN nations - I don't log into NS as much as I used to though... But still, a great idea Zak :D |

Also, this will heighten our Regional Influence. Apparently that includes Delegate endorsements, total endorsements, number of UN nations and region size. We could move from High to Very High power. |

see, not just a pretty face, I have some brains as well lol. Have I ever told you guys that I used to be very open minded, until my brain started falling out??? Perhaps thats the explaination for my recent lack of sanity lol...anyways! BACK ON TOPIC ZAKY naughty naught zaky! So....Yep I would be interested in joining this scheme. Also the hospitality councillor is meant to send all new nations a welcome tg, one which welcomes them and plugs the forums, perhaps this could be started up again if its stopped. |

 That explains it... joke!
:P It could be restarted, or replaced by the Mentor scheme, as that task could be carried out by the mentor. I don't know what's happening with the Mentor Act though. |

Hey no worries, I'll re-start telegrams and endorsements, as long as the region backs it. |
