Posted Image Greetings to everyone reading this. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past week or was afk, you maybe aware that I am running for the Q102 Delegacy. So, why vote for me. In the past 4 months since I have joined Nationstates and Q102 I have been actively involved in all affairs regarding the region. I have served the past few months as an ambassador to Hyrule, on the behalf of Q102 and also been the Foreign Affairs Councillor. So I have experience in Government, which is needed for the Q102. I am also dedicated to Q102 and Q102 only. Q102 is the only region I’m involved in. (apart from being ambassador to Hyrule, on the behalf of Q102) so I have all the time in the world to bring to the Delegacy. Below you will find my Delegacy Goals and also my Councillor List. Councillor List. Deputy: Joe Bobs Foreign: Bunnies Internal: Pacifist Cowards Immigration and Officials: Joe Bobs Security: Anime Fandom X Hospitality: Lamedud Security During the last term, one of Q102’s Allies, Lazarus was invaded. Our response was not quick enough. This was due to the QPD still being redeveloped. However under my Government I hope to continue to support the redevelopment of the QPD so it can help protect Q102 and it’s Neighbour. I will support the current redevelopment plan already in place by Anime Fandom X. In accordance with the above, I will strive to make sure that Q102 is more effective in protecting her allies. Through the Security Councillor I vow to help protect Q102 from invaders and to keep an eye on suspected invader regions migrating to Q102. In another matter of Security. I believe Delegate endorsements still definitely need to be encouraged. However we should also encourage endorsement of the Deputy Delegate so it is easy for the Deputy to take over if something were to happen to the Delegate. Foreign Under my new government, if elected delegate, I will actively encourage the Foreign Affairs Councilor to pursue new foreign relations with regions in Nationstates. To further nurture current alliances and also to establish new alliances with long time friends of Q102 that will benefit the region in a multitude of ways. I will also hope to bring down the restrictions of the Free Port Act. However I believe we still need to keep our traditional stance as a neutral region in regards to the Invader/defender issue. Also I will continue to promote Q102 as an international Mediation centre. In the coming months if I were to become Delegate, I hope to form a Q102 Olympics for all regions to participate in. I hope to elaborate on this if I become Delegate. Internal Affairs During my term, if elected I hope to boost forum activity by utilizing and further developing Cruzendale’s idea of internal recruitment. We have about 90 Nations in Q102 at the moment. Only one fifth of those nations are active in our forums. With the help of the RMB Brigade I hope to make nations within Q102 fully aware of how much fun we have on our forums and how easily accessible they are. On the topic of the RMB. I hope to reform the RMB Brigade into becoming a more effective group in keeping the RMB updated on the going ons of the region. Also part of the RMB Brigade reform will be the inclusion of Internal Recruitment. Also I hope to fully encourage big Roleplay events that will encourage activity on the boards. Hopefully some scenarios can be thought up that may move away from War roleplays. Also I hope to further develop the Q102 Awards as they are a great idea of rewarding people for being involved in Q102. Recruitment Population at the moment is at a bit of a low at the moment. I know. Instead of giving the same old let’s get the numbers above 100, I’m going to say this. Let’s make recruitment fun. I have thought of the idea of having a Recruitment Ladder down below is an example: 1. Zakaroo 575 2. Aaronyne 565 3. Joe Bobs 564 4. Cruzendale 543 As you can see from the above there are 4 Nations listed above in what looks like a ladder. It is, it’s the recruitment Ladder. I have thought of the idea of having a recruitment ladder to encourage people to get competitive in their recruitment. It could be really fun as you would want to knock whoever is at the top off and become Number 1. Also a number of badges for recruitment milestones and whoever is at the top each month could be made. For Example have a badge for 100, 200, 300, 400 Recruitment telegrams. So summing up Vote for the Republic of Aaronyne. |

Woo! Napoleon Dynamite. Love it. Can I ask, more out of curiosity than any sort of political attack, why your Hospitality Councillor remains empty? |

Can I ask: since the only part of the Free Port left is the Free Port Act itself do you intens to remove that and if so what would you replace it with and how would you garruntee our openess to all visitors? Also: Why try things like Olympics when surely the only issue that truely matters is recruitment? |

I had beaches written down for the hospitality position, however he informed me that he will be unable to fulfill his duties as a councillor if i were elected. But, I am pleased to inform everyone that i have now put Lamedud in their instead. In response to Nev's question. Recruitment is very important and as you may see at the bottom i have devised a different strategy to try and get people involved in recruitment. One thing though recruitment is neccesary as we need it for our survival. however external recruitment is what we need however we should also be encouraging the citizens already in Q102 to get active in Government. |

I like the ladder idea, but it would take some effort to maintain. Would everybody have to write down every nation he/she contacted to prevent cheating? |

the I&O councillor will add them up from the Recruitment Co-ordination thread and update the ladder. Also the I&O councillor is more than welcome to appoint a Minister to help them. |

Thankyou RoA for your mandate, a very interesting read. 1. With regards the secrity issue. We have been promised time and time again a reform of the RDF, and unfortunately it hasnt been delivered. Whilst steps get put in place, they never seem to be followed through, so can I ask how you will ensure this is going to happen under your delegacy? 2. Second, I do like the ladder idea, and I think that it would work vey well within Q102. However wouldnt that be a lot of work for the I&O councillor when they already have different things to concentrate upon? 3. The matter of internal recruitment, who will this task fall too? |

thankyou Zakaroo, in regards to Question 1, I will eprsonally make sure that the RDF is fully functional. With Co-ordiantion from the Security Councillor i'll oversee that the RDF is properly reformed and running efficiently. in regards to Question 2, i would suggest to the I&O Councillor that they appoint a minister who is specifically responsible for the maintinence of this ladder. In regards to Question 3, I would believe internal recruitment will be under the umbrella of the Internal Affairs department. However this task could be given to the RMB Brigade. It is kind of a grey area at the moment as this idea has not been tested yet. |

As regards internal recruitment, would you be TGing new nations or nations that already exist and just haven't joined the forum? If the former, I already do this, so it has been tested, although I don't think I've stated this explicitly, and it hasn't been mechanised. So far, none of the nations I've contacted have joined the forums, although two have told me they will. If the latter, would you continue contacting nations several times, say, monthly, or would you just contact them once? |

A friendly welcome TG will be sent to each new nation outlining what Q102 is all about and what their is to do i.e RP and other stuff. Obviously the forum link will be in this TG directing them to the forums. also the introductions forum will be mentioned as a good place to say g'day. Also each current citizen will be TGed once every couple of months to let them know they are more than welcome to participate in the forums. I believe all this should be fromalized in an internal Recruitment act. |

Sounds good so far. However, what if a nation says they do not want to participate in the forums? Perhaps there could be a register with these nations recorded? |

thankyou for you answers, however the hospitality councillor is already responsible for welcoming new nations to the region. They provide the gift list. are you saying you will reform this or be sending two TG's to new nations? Also as far as recruitment goes, what will you do to ensure all recruit (particularly councillors/ministers) as experience has shown me this is a very hard task? |

I like the idea of the "ladder", could you give more details of how this might work? Also what legislation would you expect to bring to Parl;iament? |

I've got another question: What are your plans to make Q102 an even better place to be in and to make sure that nations, who were recruited, stay and make their home here? |

on the topic of internal recruitment it can probably fall into a lot of areas for example RMB Brigade could do this along with their RMB posts. an amendment to this law could be made. However who is able to be in charge of internal recruitment should be debated in parlaiment. on topics of legislation. i hope to reform the current legislation in regards to the QPD to in-corporate the divisions that Anime Fandom X came up with. my plans to make Q102 to be a better place for all is to try and get encourage people to get more involved. for example new roleplays that are not centred on conflict that could entice people who do not want to roleplay war. |
