No. I see I did not make myself clear so let me be explicit: No changes to forum structure will be made on the basis of in character votes. No site rules, roleplay rules or other administration set protocols will be changed on the basis of in character votes. The only place to propose and discuss ideas or suggestions for changing the forum structure or site rules, roleplay rules or other administration set protocols is the Technical and Moderation Forum. Site administration is happy to listen to suggestions and ideas in the correct forum but will only change forum structure or site rules, roleplay rules or other administration set protocols if convinced that to do so will benefit the board as a whole including casual members or those who speak up less often. I am aware that this affects much of your proposed IC manifesto but this is not the first time site administration has explained this recently so it may well make sense to change it. Administration and Moderation are totally and completely separated from all other activities on the board. We check and oversee each other. We do not respond to pressure and we do not negotiate. We do listen and we do try to keep the board fresh and fun for the widest possible number of members. How this is done is not up for debate and is not part of the Q102 "game" in any way shape or form. Now please use the OOC thread indicated above to discuss it further and stick to IC matters here please[/admin] |

O.K lets get this sorted O.K. First, the post made by nev is a admin one, not a character. Please dont take personal offence at what he said, as its nothing to do with parties, pledges or characters. This is about the whole structure of the forums. If you follow the link you see the arguements for/against this. I have also commented on the whole thing there. However I wish to stress that party politics are more then welcome in Q102, as are election campaigns and political debates. However the core structure of Q102 (rules, guidelines, layout etc) will not be changed in politics as it has no place there. That is what we are saying. Please do continue to debate your manifesto and raise what you want, but there is a clear line which no-one in Q102 can cross about expecting the structure of Q102 to change. If you or anyone has any issues about any of this, please continue this in the appropriate forum :) [admin] |

I shan't comment further on that issue here, but I urge others to visit the aforementioned forum as some most excellent ideas have been suggested that could be very fun and useful for the region. Our policy of "more citizen involvement" is something I'd like to discuss. I think one way of successfully implementing this would be to have more citizen votes. I've said elsewhere I'd like to see an increase or a return to UN voting, but voting on other issues could occur too. If the "League of Nations" (a name I just sugegsted, not formalised. Please see the aforementioned forum for reference) proposed did come into effect, issues proposed in there could be voted on. Voting enables less active nations to have a say quickly and easily without getting invloved in debates they may not wish to be part of. Do my fellow members agree? Do others? |
