Yeah but imagine how cool it'd be if you had two! Well, it'd be pretty weird too, but I'm sure it'd have its uses. Worms of course, people, just plain old worms... :P

:offtopic: guys, although this is taking a very interesting turn.

I would like the make clear that the PPP can change with the times as well. We are liberal in our approach to things, and can change our opinions.

I am not suggesting that we canbt remain neutral without the free port but I happen to think that the overall essence of it is nice, in the sense that people can come to us when stuck, and we can use the mediation center, what we objected to was the mainy restrictins placed upon players due to the many clauses to this.

I suggest we move onto something else though, it seems this matter will come down to the electorate on the night.

I thought I won that arguement in the last election, since that was the platform I stood on. I am saddened to see the PPP has stepped back from that course given the overwhelming support I received. I also note that the UOC has also hardened their position in comparison with that they stood on in the election.

The PPP must change with the times nev and tbh I dont think that we have stepped back that much. Yes perhaps become less extreme, but mainly because it did meet with some more opposition once we had got rid of the many clauses. However the overall body of the free port does seem to be liked, and what we are saying is that this perhaps needs reforming to better suit Q102.

I was under the impression that you never wanted to see this eliminated totally, but reformed so it was less restricting, obviously I have misunderstood.

I would be grateful for any other member of the PPP to butt in here and just confirm (for my own sanity) that what I am saying is right.

@nev-no offence either but in the last election, the opposition was much weaker then what it is now. You were wonderful, however we are playing this game to win.

You know something? I'm surprised that you don't have a news article about Valoron's civil war. A member of your party has over 500,000,000,000 people revolting, and that's just the adult population (everyone in Valoron over the age of 12 is required to have a gun).

This is a huge story! If the terriorst get there hands on Valoron's bio-chemical weapons, it could spell doom for the whole region. Where is your covereage?

Probably because it is a roleplay issue Blue Tiger and not a regional matter.

Zak, I was commenting on the general shift onto UOC terms in the argument when I thought it had already been won. The same people debated it and the popular vote was overwhelmingly in favour of a more engaged policy.

It will be a regional matter if Valoron loses.

No, sorry, we recently had an OOC descussion about how the types of roleplay relate to each other. The rule is that Events RP is totally separate from regional play. If you want more information you can find the thread here:

Well, I'm just smug that Zak called us a strong opposition.

You know, this politics game ain't so hard. I don't think politicians need all that money really. I mean, most workers work a lot harder, and earn a lot less. I know I'm saying something incredibly simple and naive, and this may just be the hour of the night or the near-collapse state of my mind, but it just struck me how unfair it all is, and how it won't change. You know how sometimes these things just strike you? Well I just had one of those moments. Like when, as a child, you first saw someone draw, and you saw something you recognised actually appear from the end of their pencil.

I am rambling. It is late. I apologise. Let's get back to politics.

Its the truth, you are a strong opposition JB, I wont lie. However with regards your last post...well...lol...would you like me to move it to the random forums, as I dont think it can be continued here. Dont forget this is meant to be the PPP's newspaper.

So getting back on topic.

Quote:

This week the Councillor for Immigration and Officials has asked the entire community to help maintain active nations with-in Nation States. She also asked anyone to help with the recruitment drive. Whilst some may take this as a political opportunity the Councillor wishes to make clear this issue goes above and beyond politics and instead has now become a matter for the entire region to deal with.

In other news:
The Counillor of Security has this week took serious setps towards reforming the protection division with in Q102. These steps are proving very popular with many people finding a suitable group to slip into. The reforms will continue over the coming week, so more on this as we have it.

Finally we wish to formally welcome back Peachy to Q102. Whilst he did once belong to the original group of people who were to form the PPP, a spokesperson has assured us that there are no ill feelings between the PPP and Peachy. The PPP wishes Peachy luck in his new dwellings, and looks forward to thrashing out legislation within parliament once more.
Thats all for now, more updates as we have them.
