The simple fact is, without excellent contacts, we will never get invited to these events. Zak is doing a chuffing amazing job as Immigrations Councillor (so if you're stuck for councillors, go to her first), but the fact is our current policy is to only send ambassadors to regions that propose relations with us. We need to be active. In metaphorical terms, in the party that is NS, we're the slightly drunk one sitting in the corner. We're perfectly aimiable if you take the time to come and talk to us, but everyone would much rather be on the dancefloor. Maybe it's time we stood up off our asses and took a little walk... |

I am sorry but how dare anyone of the UOC say that any member of the PPP doesnt have the dedication to remain in government! That is a blatent lie and is quite slanderous in itself!! As far as the neatrality issue is concerned it was the PPP who suggested reforming it! What the UOC doesnt seem to understand, is that the Free Port and its many additional clauses started to choke this region. Activity dropped, we couldnt find enough ACTIVE people to fill the major positions in this region (before it was all reformed) this was because one of the free port clauses stated that people couldnt hold office in more then one region. Another said they had to state any other region they were a member of, and that they couldnt belong to a defender/invader region. This act chocked the liberal ideology which we all know and love out of Q102. when it was first created, it was great for us, we were still finding our feet, however as Q102 grew and changed (something which the UOC dont seem to realise is constantly happening) some aspects of the Free Port act became out dated and such. That is was the PPP suggested reforming it, that is why we have reformed it. And look what do we have? -more active embassies then ever - more people asking for embassies -more invites to multi-member alliances - more board activity -more respect throughout NS as we can manage to remain neutral and fair and still find friends I would suggest the UOC talk to some of the members who left due to this act. One example being lycia city who had to choose between a government position here or in Hyrule because of this. She chose hyrule and we eventually lost a active and unique player. As far as making these grand suggestions that you could do a better job in government then us, well thats something which I am sure the electorate will decide. However, where are your reports on what you are doing to hold us to account? Where are your facts about what you have done in the previous week? where are your recruitment quota's? There is no doubt in my mind that it is the PPP who belongs in government, however, it is the electorate who will decide, it is the electorate who will listen to the truth, it is the electorate who has the power in this region, not the PPP or the UOC, the electorate |

*Laughs* When i made the comment neutral, I meant ex 'neutral' members (i.e people who weren't in a political party) joining the PPP for the hell of it. Simply joined because they wanted some power. Didn't really care what policies that party was aiming for. But then again, it works on two levels. Heal and grow. |

Lamedud, if you are referring to me in that rather unfair comment, i shall just point out that I remained neutral for some time because yes, i wasn't sure i agreed with the way the PPP was going, and I wanted to look at all the options. however I chose to return to the PPP because i realised that their course of action was the right one for the region. it was their policies that I took so much time considering. :stare |

ok this is getting a little out of hand and i must say that LD comment was a little out of line, but i think it was made in jest, well i hope. and i do agree with having to cut down the free port act, if anyone remembers it was me who started the thread that was goingt o do just that, but the thread died and still no action. if you are looking for activities then you only ahve to lok as far as the UOC thread, every issue that has coome up in q102 had been looked at, a dission on how to act, all UOC talks are done in the open and as far as i can see we are more active, and if not, we are more open. PC id roght we are becoming more active in NS, but when was the last time we went out there? i ask becasue i do not know, are we sending people out to these events? I admit that we have not been making sure the PPP was doing their job, but on many levels should we have to? |

 I thought the whole argument was that the PPP didn't want to remain neutral anymore. Doesn't that meant that you are trying to get rid of a policy that it getting respect? |

lamedud I would love to know when exactly I was neatral? please explain that rather interesting remark. thankyou CM for being the calming one in this thread, I really appreciate your comments and youre understanding. @Blue Tiger. The PPP wants (and has) to take away some of thew more binding aspects of the free port act. However if you see our posts in parliament I think they're in, we were ALL looking at reforming it, so that it suited Q102 better. The PPP doesnt disagree with it, just the over restrictewd policies that it once imposed. Sorry for the confusion |

I'm not going to get into this one too far, as I don't want to get prosecuted for slander, and I've had my wrist slapped before for causing offence. I'll just say that we can be neutral without being a Free Port, and that's what I want and what I believe the UOC want. And everyone that's offended someone should say sorry and look at their shoes now! :D |
