If members would take a look at the "Party Policy" forum, I have posted in there on the party's behalf. I'm pretty sure you'd all agree with what I put. We should avoid mentioning any tabloid stuff in there 'cos I don't think it'd impress. Let's see what the PPP come back with, and then rip them apart! :P

edit: In the above forum, Nev asked:

I want to know about foreign policy too. Oh and regional numbers. What is the UOC's policy on this? How active is your party in parliament?

I thought this was best for Calm Minds to field, as shadow Foreign Affairs Minister.

My personal opinion on regional numbers is that it is of secondary importance to activity of present members, but I didn't want to answer this without asking the rest of the party's opinion.

Why do we need to be neutral would be my next question, and how neutral is neutral? Do you think that less neutrality would lead to closer relations with other regions and that that might help activity?

I'd say that whilst not being neutral would boost our notoriety, it may bring us into danger. Thus, I don't believe a black and white situation can be concluded on this. An analysis of independent situation may be preferable.

Would you agree CM? I thought I wouldn't answer as it's your field. :)

there are some that may say that.....but as i thought up the idea, and i am regeting not putting a more defined deffinition in the bill that was passed, is nutral in respect to the poeple and regions in nation states, to hold outside of the overall invader/defender relations in NS, eg the ADN and the RLA, and DEN, the superregional networks thats only perpuse is to disrupt the other, the system that has been set up as the "only" way to to play nation states ignoring all others.

when people come into Q102 i want them to be known as ____ from _____, not _____ from ______, sworn member of the (insert invader/defender org here) to crush all those that seek to do harm against ______. when bam from the ASE or Party for Canada, or ZO for TWP come here they are just that 3 people from another region nothing more nothing less. the whole system makes me head hurt, and once poeple see that we want to part of it, they will not see us a target nor a potent threat or a vivable tagert (we are way to big to be invaded easily now, even more so that we have an active founder).

so to wrap things up....we are not a target becasue we dont make ourselves one, we are nether right nor left, we do not invade of defende, and we acept all into q102 with open arms and never pass judgment on those that enter, but welcome them warmly.

does that fullful your request for a responce...and i will copy and paste this in the other thread becasue i do not want o retype all this

@BT i thikn LM was making a joke becasye he is the FM, not taking a shot at us

No, I was laughing at the joke without getting stuck with the plain old "lol" (though I should have cleared up the fact that I was sarcastic)

But anyway, PC made a good point here:

What Q102 needs more than anything else is international recognition. We need to be seen running with the big boys. At the moment, we're playing the dield, seeing what works. We have embassies with a number of key players in the NS world, but if you go into that region t tends only to be known through the work of our stirling ambassadors. The Q102-Canada ambassador protocol turned some heads in our direction, and I think similar events may be needed to propel us onto the main stage.

This should be our focus. Becasue OOC, this whole thing is only a game, and taking risks and picking sides is part of the fun, and IC, every nation and region wants to be a "power house". So why stay neutral?

I don't mean go off endorsing everything or whatever, but we should try to become main players in NS, and neutrallity isn't the way to do that.

Just one question, what does he mean by Q102-Canada ambassador protocol?

I really need to get up on my Foreign Affairs knowledge. Half of this is way over my head. BT, I don't have a clue what the Canada-Q102 protocol is, so I'm just as curious as you.
