Peachy, I suggest reading the new ambassador's report, the "Suggestion" thread and the two threads relating to party passwords. That's what's been a-happening.

Yes. You see, the closed forum is solely for tactical discussion. If we closed off policy discussion, how would ne members know whether they want to join or not? And where would they sign up? We only need protection for tactical discussion. If tactical discussion is not protected, then anyone can read it and there's no point discussing it.

Right. If I win the election, who wants a councillor position? I'm working on a list, but there's nopoint me putitng someone down if they don't want to do it. Also, any thoughts on ideas I should use when running. So far:

Increase regional numbers to 100
(Possible.) A councillor activity check, so they must check in, say, weekly, and delegate every three days min.
Continuation of other ideas
Increase in foreign affairs. I know that our ambassadors aren't all that active, and the Q102-Canada protocol needs to be enforced by the Foreign Affairs Councillor

I have a few other ideas, but I'm largely running them under the "continuation" principle. Obviously, I'll name them in speechs and so forth.

Right. I have written my list, and much of it is based on acivity and experience rather than party allegiance, although all of you are included. I am waiting for Nev to get back to me on whether or not he wants a position.

Also, I have made two positions for Councillor for Immigration and Officials, in the hope that this will boost recruitment and therefore numbers. I would like anyone to post here, or PM me, or post in the "Delegate Issue" thread (where I shall also post it) if they want to change their position or do not want a position or feel that they could handle more than I've allocated them.

Delegate: Joe Bobs
Deputy Delegate: : Lamedud
Councillor for Foreign Affairs: Republic of Aaronyne
Minister: 2000AD
Councillor for Hospitality: FluffyPinkBunnyGirl
Minister: Nevareion
Councillor for Immigration and Officials: Cruzendale and Zakaroo
Minister: Sandy White Beaches
Councillor for Internal Affairs: Pacifist Cowards
Minister: Peachydom
Councillor for Security: Anime Fandom X
Minister: Blue Tiger

Also, I'd like feedback if anyone thinks I've made a huge error of judgement anywhere. Thanks.

Change to list:

Quote:

Delegate: Joe Bobs
Deputy Delegate: Lamedud
Councillor for Foreign Affairs: Republic of Aaronyne
Minister: 2000AD
Councillor for Hospitality: FluffyPinkBunnyGirl
Minister: Sandy White Beaches
Councillor for Immigration and Officials: Cruzendale
Minister: Zakaroo
Councillor for Internal Affairs: Pacifist Cowards
Minister: Peachydom
Councillor for Security: Anime Fandom X
Minister: Blue Tiger

Now, my only concern here is Peachy. I'm thinking maybe you won't like this new position. If so, please contact me ASAP.

edit: ammended to disclude Nev, who doesn't want a position. This puts Peachydom back in the far more suitable role of Internal Affairs Minister. Also, see Delegate thread to see why I moved Zak.

BT, are you happy with Security Minister?

Also, this is the TG/PM I plan to send round for my campaign. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. Anything I should add/remove/change?

Hi there.

As you’re probably aware, the time has come for delegate elections in Q102. these elections are slightly different to the usual, as the Delegate will lead a Coalition government, rather than a government selected from their own party. With this in mind, remember that you are not voting for the party, but for the candidate.

That said, why vote Joe Bobs? Well, no member of the forums has been more active than me in the last few months. I currently hold two ambassador to positions (to the GRA and Europa), I have a seat as judge in the High Court, and have led the United Opposition Party to their strongest position. I am experienced in the world of NationStates, both within Q102 and internationally. I have pioneered schemes and suggested new ideas, such as the Q102 Monthly Awards, passworded party forums, and votes for ambassadors. These have met different levels of success, as I have always regarded the consensus of the people of Q102 above all else.

If elected, I plan to bring back the UN resolution poll, introduce a second Councillorship for the Department of Immigration and Officials (in a bid to halt the declining numbers of the region) and introduce a Q102 University. I also feel that rather than just recruit new members, we should care for newcomers to the region and offer as much support as possible. Also to continue the initiative of telegramming departed nations to discover why they left.

So, when you cast your vote, vote for a candidate with experience, intelligence and commitment. Vote Joe Bobs.

Cheers BT.

And I need a brainstorm (or "thought-shower") people!

I notice three of us are online, so we should be able to bounce some ideas about. What do I need to include? What strengths should I point out and weaknesses should I prepare to argue down? Don't hold back on me! :P

Also, anyone notice the big PPP logo on RoA's vote page? Non-Partisan elections???

Yeah. I'm RoA's Deputy and I&O Councillor. It's very confusing. But at least we can't lose, LD! Anywho, you're my Deputy so there lie your loyalties. :P Maybe you'd be better neutral?
